I'm totally happy it's too big.  I figured it would be eventually.  I will definitely post a pic for my final fitting.  I've been going to these appointments alone so I felt weird just snapping pics of myself while the alterations lady is working away.  lol

@TinkerSofi  Time definitely flies by in about 1.5 weeks your ticker is going to say 2 months....so time is definitely flying by.

I will be taking pics of all the little projects we've been working on....

I actually have a big sale June 6th that I'm preparing for so I'm juggling wedding planning, a job, and my side job... no sleep, lots of coffee.

Oh my goodness you ladies always find a way to give me a chuckle. I keep asking Doug if he can walk and chew gum at the same time! If I try to talk to him while he's on the computer, or on his tablet, or even watching tv, I get this look like "what planet did you just drop from and why are you talking to me?" lol He's another one that says I ask to many questions! Hey I'm a law clerk. I went to school to LEARN how to ask questions!! lol

@veryvalentine your weight loss is truly remarkable and as was already said, an inspiration for everyone else. I really wish I could do it sigh...

I said "yes" again to the love of my life at Grand Coral Beach Club, Playa del Carmen, Mexico on our 4th anniversary - October 20, 2015

@veryvalentine woohoo, that's absolutely amazing! I'm sorry for the added alterations cost but your determination definitely paid off. I can't wait to see you in the dress, you're gonna look amazing

OOT Bags!!

We are almost done with our OOT/welcome bags.  A lot of things still have to arrive in the mail and yes I waited until the last minute so that's what I get.  lol

We have already started packing our cups and I was sure to pick up tips from past brides on how to carefully bubble wrap them.

We are probably going to keep everything or at least try, to keep everything in one luggage for the contents of the welcome bags.  I have all the receipts which I will keep with me in my wedding book.

@calgarybride2015  you've been soooo helpful and I wanted to give you a big thank you... I also wanted to ask you how many luggages did you bring with you.  I need to ask Sunwing how many we are allowed.... I know we get an extra 10kg allowance but between the two of us we will probably need to bring 3 at least.  I'm going to ask my bridal party to bring things for us as well and my sister is flying out with us earlier so she can as well.

Also, once you arrived at the resort with all your guests, how did you distribute the welcome bags?  We are arriving 3 days before so we are going to put them together the night we arrive and have them ready to go.  I don't know if I'm just sleep deprived, anxious, cranky or what...but I've spent so much time on these bags that I feel like I should have a special ceremony for them just to hand them to our guests...they.don't.know.how.much.work.went.into.those..hahahah

We are trying to book a welcome dinner for all our guests so we might just present them to our guests at that point or maybe when they arrive and we meet them in the lobby.  I feel like there will be so much going on when they first arrive that they won't really appreciate the welcome bag..I don't know?  thoughts?

Yay! Welcome bags complete!! :)

I'm doing the same thing as you with regards to the excess luggage that I have. I'm going to prepare everything in advance and i've already had a few friends who have offered to bring some odds and ends for me. I'm bringing my breakables (votive holders and mason jars) in a carry on that goes on the plane. I don't want to put them in my luggage just incase. I'm also thinking of buying some small vacuum seal bags for some of my luggage so that I can pack it really tight.

My OOT bag contents seem to be my biggest worry.. I have a lot of stuff and i'm wondering how i'm going to get it all down. It's pretty heavy too.

We're handing our welcome bags out at our welcome dinner. We're having our welcome dinner on the second night (decided to let everyone get settled in on night one). I'm going to have a table there with all the bags :)

I said yes!!

It was an emotional evening but I finally said yes to my dress!  I decided to go with my #1 pick.  There are so many elements that I love about this dress and it suits the beach wedding.  it's also not very heavy and I wasn't sweating in it compared to another dress made out of satin.(Just in the store alone I was sweating buckets.)

Yay!  xoxo

@perianjay    That's such a great idea..maybe we will book the welcome dinner and have a separate table for the bags. I was thinking it might be a hassle for everyone to walk around with their bags afterwards especially if they want to catch a drink or a show.  Oh well.  lol  I like your idea of having a small table set up.  So smart.

We would do it the next night but we are doing our bachelor and bachelorette night at the Blue Parrot.

I keep having thoughts about what if my luggage gets lost and all the OOT are lost...like I'm legit nervous.

@emmapalmer I am not sure yet.  I am making myself a pearl cluster bracelet that will match my dress.  I have a birdcage veil with a flower and I'm not sure if a necklace might be too much.  I might dress up my neck for the reception and wear a fun statement necklace.  The nice things is that I can probably change up my look all I want throughout the evening.

@veryvalentine oh my gosh.. I know. I get anxious thinking about all of that stuff. Everytime I think of the wedding and what's to come with worrying about those little things, my stomach gets knots in it. Don't worry though.. i'm sure it's going to all work out either way. I totally feel you though.. I have those same concerns and I always have to tell myself it's going to work out fine.

@veryvalentine, I agree with @perianjay to present your welcome bag at your welcome dinner. Check-in may be chaotic and your guests may have their hands full with their own luggage and even a welcome drink!

I love the idea of a separate table to display them! It's funny how you guys mentioned the little things bc the welcome dinner is what I'm fixated on at the moment. We would really like to have it the first night but not sure what our flight times are at the moment. Do you think it would be safer to just schedule it the next day??

@Wafflesmom

I guess it just depends.  I don't want to wait too long to do the welcome dinner as I want people to break the ice early on to start enjoying the week.  We know our flights time and so far everyone will be arriving by 1pm so the evenings is clear for us.

It's all the little details that count!  They all add up...and they keep me up a night!  hahaha
