@@TinkerSofi I can't wait to see your hangers too! It looks like you're all set to go and have everything lined up!  :)  I know what you mean about worrying about final payments. It's like that initial stress of everyone putting down deposits comes back to haunt us. lol - ok maybe I'm being a bit dramatic! ;)  A friend of mine keeps saying to me "you know a lot of people are going to cancel right? Half of the list from my friend's daughter's wedding cancelled when it came time to the final payment..." every time I just look at him and I'm like "Really?!? Why would you say that to me??" so I end up just telling him that if it ends up being just me and Sean on the beach I'll be happy...everything else is a bonus! I mean of course I want everyone to be there but saying that usually shuts him up pretty quickly! ha!

Your to-do list looks about right! I still have a couple of those on my list and I'm 2.5 weeks from leaving :) You're in great shape with plenty of time left! I'm so grateful for the holiday weekend to start wrapping up loose ends.

We didn't really have any changes to our list when it came time for final payment! I thought maybe, but no changes and no issues. Well, if there were issues my TA didn't tell me about them, which is awesome. We are barely getting any perks, unfortunately. Our resort offers a free person (rebated to us) for every 20 guests and the rebate is based on the minimum number of nights anyone in our group is staying. Well, unfortunately we have someone staying only 2 nights so the 2 "free passengers" we are going to get will only be based on 2 nights. I mean, it is still something, but much less than we hoped.

But, at one point based on verbal RSVPs we thought we'd have 80 guests and we're down to 65. We would have paid for everything for 80 guests, so I guess we're still ahead based on that.

As promised, the pictures of the hangers. I'm not 100% sure about the guys'. I might just change Juan's and put the mustache and bow tie with the word groom in black, kind of like mine. post-265511-143225283055_thumb.jpgpost-265511-143225283784_thumb.jpg

@@TinkerSofi I envisioned you moulding the wire to write everyone's name and, to be honest, I was a little nervous. THEY LOOK GREAT! Well done :)

I was actually replying to your other post on my computer but my brother came and we're off to get his man of honor outfit.

No I didn't even attempt the wire ones because I had a feeling the wire and I wouldn't get along haha. I would have ended frustrated and they would have looked totally amateur. I just feel like bending wire is not one of my fortes lol. I looked for some inspiration on google and then put my own spin on them

@@TinkerSofi there is NO way I could have moulded the wire. Not a chance - wouldn't have even tried. So happy my mum surprised me with my hanger because I wouldn't have spent the $ on it. Love the idea of doing them for my girls though. Idea might be stolen ;)

Good luck with the man of honour outfit :)

Steal away! They were so quick and easy to make. I think mine was the hardest because I had to make sure the writing was straight, etc.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
