I currently am helping my friend with her upcoming wedding at Dreams Riveria Maya this Sept. While also slowly planning my Riveria Maya wedding for next Fall. We've been looking at photographers and nothing is working into our budget. Everyone is stating 3K and up. Anyone know of great photographers to hire for much lower budget who can still give us great pictures ?

Don't know what your budget is but there are several photographers that I looked into that are below the $3k mark and they're photos are beautiful! It will depend on how much time you want as well. Look through the vendor review section here under photographers and it will give you an idea of who to contact. Look at their websites and email them for pricing info. Most of the ladies here find someone who's style works with what they want.

Good luck!

Fortunately, there are photographers these days for nearly almost every budget. I think the first thing is finding a photographer whose style you love, then reaching out to them for a quote. Definitely utilize the vendor sections on this site and take a look at the reviews and recommendations. Cancun/Riviera Maya has tons of awesome photographers for various price point ranges.

Another option is to reach out to a photographer that might be local to you or located in the US. Plenty of brides, including myself, have actually hired a photographer to travel to their destination and photograph their wedding. Sometimes this actually becomes economically feasible if the photographer is willing to work with your budget. It's just a matter of finding the one that fits your needs.

Good luck!  ;)

There are a good handful of photographers in the Mayan that come in under $2500. I did a lot of research myself.

I ended up going with Perla Brambila / Adventure Photos (my resort's photographer) but if you want some recommendations I would suggest (in addition to the ones above) Samual Luna, Bohemia Photography, Dean Sanderson.

I used Derek Campbell with Photos In Cancun. Www.photosincancun.com. He was AWESOME. He charged me $2100. It was supposed to be $2500, but he lowered it to $2100 so the outside vendor fee didn't hurt so much. ha! He and Lorena were wonderful. Best pictures at such a reasonable cost. He also gave me all of my pictures on a flash drive the day after our wedding. I highly suggest him.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
