  1. Omg Dee, your spin class peeps are awesome! Best way to make a 6am workout fun! And just warning you, the love doesn't stop there, we're still getting wedding gifts and well wishes and it's been almost 3 months since we've been married lol As for the bag, yes I used it as carry on to Cancun and it fit neatly in the overhead and I wasn't concerned about it at all. Super easy to carry it around and I'm short! Lol We ended up checking it in on the way back home, I wasn't too concerned about lost luggage at that point lol
  2. @@deecol the sisterhood of the traveling Wally bag, I love it! don't you kinda wish you were that bag? Mexico three times in less than 6 months lol. That bag was so awesome to travel with and fit mine and Der's wedding outfits, our shoes and my jewellery. And your coworkers are so sweet! And her writing is awesome. I'm especially loving those mugs!
  3. @@ashhtayy everything looks gorgeous, especially you in your wedding dress
  4. Erin, have an awesome wedding week! Fingers crossed that the sun comes out soon. Keep us posted with pics whenever you can.
  5. Congratulations on your legal ceremony. I love that your surprise went well, despite your Nonna hyperventilating lol. I actually love the white blazer and think you look so pretty in it.
  6. Oh Erin, I'm so sorry I've missed so much. First off, congratulations on your legal ceremony, you looked so beautiful. Everything has come along so well for you and the 18lbs weight loss is amazing! Way to go!!! For the makeup, I'm like @@snswedding2016 and I'm not the best when it comes to makeup tips. That's why I hired styling trio right away, I knew I'd need help for my wedding day lol. I'm glad @ has you covered
  7. I am so sorry I've been MIA, I've missed so much. Your flowers, map for signing, signage and dress are all on point! You e accomplished so much and made great decisions. You're so far ahead with everything and I'm so glad it's all coming together. Can't wait to see the rest
  8. Oh Hun I am so sorry I've been MIA. It's been crazy busy at work but it's subsided somewhat so I'm back!! I'm sorry I've missed so much and I'm even more sorry to hear about your best friend. That's awful what her fiancé has done to her and I get she's in a rough place but I'm hoping she realizes soon that he's the bad guy, not you. It's always so much easier to lash out at those we love and subconsciously, she could just be angry that your relationship with Col is real when her's wasn't. Just leave her alone and hopefully time will bring her back to reality and sanity! So I see that you have crossed quite a bit off your list, congrats!!! I'm so glad I'm back to see your final prep and countdown. I'm so excited for you. As for hairpiece, I have the one I used that I will happily send your way if you like. It's on my fb page so just let me know and I'll ship it asap
  9. Eek less than 2 months!!! Omg I'm so excited for you, I can't wait to see everything come together. Your list is totally doable, and most of those can be done with a focused trip to the mall lol In one shot you can get chicken cutlets (la vie en rose has sticky cups that stick all night), Mexico clothes, outfit for bachelorette and lingerie. For guest book, you can always buy a scrapbook and have ppl take selfies with a Polaroid. Just buy some cute washi tape for ppl to tape their pic to the book and have them sign beside their pic. I saw this recently and it was so cute to see ppl post funny selfies. And you won't regret the no drinking rule. I didn't feel as dehydrated when I woke up and my face felt more moisturized!
  10. I love your review and I love all of your pics. You two make such a good looking couple and I have to say that my fave pic is the one of your first dance. It really captures the live between you two. I'm glad you can look back and laugh at Sean's dad. Definitely makes for a great inside joke for all your wedding guests too. I wish I had known about zoom so we could stream for Der's grandparents
  11. @@ElizaS are you planning on a legal ceremony? We just had one last month at Moon Palace and we had the option of having the officiant read a prayer. My fiancé is not religious but I was brought up Catholic so we opted to have a short prayer read to bless our marriage.
  12. I've had the non-mink variety and would advise against it. They're heavier on your lashes so they do result in more of your lashes falling out if you're not careful. Of course I will caveat that mine fell out and I was basically left with no lashes after almost 7 months of continuous application of non-mink lashes. My friend has only worn mink and has worn them non-stop for over a year and they look awesome!
  13. Oh I love the blush bouquet with babysbreath and lamb's ear. I think it's very romantic and will really fit in with your theme. I didn't see any attachments showing your guestbook proofs
  14. Day 4 This was the day before the wedding. It was a beautiful day so we all headed to Downtown Cancun to explore. This photo was taken by my sister to capture our last "day of freedom" lol After walking around, we all decided to head back and just relax by the pool. Amazingly, I was not nervous or concerned about the wedding at all. The only rule I had that day was no drinking. Yoni from Styling Trio advised against heavy drinking the day before the wedding as it could dry up your skin and cause bloating. I was a stickler with this rule and it’s funny because Styling Trio actually noticed LOL Even though Der and I have been living together for over 3 years, my mom wanted us to follow the tradition of not seeing each other on our wedding day. So that night, Der stayed in our room and I stayed in my mom, sister and nephew’s room. My nephew was super excited to have a sleep over with me! Before I left, I made sure that Der’s outfit was all ready to go and that it didn’t need any steaming. We went through everything he needed to bring to his parents’ room (where he would be getting ready) and said our good-byes. I reminded him to call reception to ensure that our room would be cleaned early morning. It was really sweet because I knew that the next time I’d see him would be at the ceremony. That night, it was so hard to sleep. I would close my eyes and get super excited. It was surreal to think that I only had one sleep until we were married….crazy!
  15. OK I'm seriously jealous of your natural lashes! Im gonna play devil's advocate on this one and vote to just get strip or flash false lashes the day of your wedding. I agree that you'll want to add extra to your lashes for your wedding day, especially your photos but I always find strip lashes are less fussy and you get to play around with more styles one look. I had lash extensions for a year and I loved that my eyes looked perky and beautiful all the time but I just hated having to worry about them all the time, especially when they start coming off. If you do get them, I say go for mink so they're not as heavy on your natural lashes and should last longer.
  16. Erin feel free to vent anytime! I think booking issues is something we can all relate to so we all understand. And I was in the same situation with Derrick's cousin. She didn't rsvp at all and you'd think she'd appreciate the importance since she just got married last year! Guess some people just don't have the same courtesy they expect from other people. I'm sure you'll have a blast at your stagette, can't wait to hear stories! I had the typical sash, veil and penis accessories (including a penis gun) but I'm an attention whore lol When else can I get away with holding a penis gun? Lol
  17. Ohhh sorry, I thought you were talking about the bouquets. All blush with babysbreath would look good for the aisle. What colour are your chairs? And do you also have chair sashes?
  18. @@ashhtayy it was super fun and totally unexpected. @@calgarybride2015 I don't even know how a mannequin head would get there, that's what made it extra creepy! And I'm glad to hear that it's not good practice to dig for veins. It was super painful! The guy who drew our blood in Mexico was really good. No bruising whatsoever
  19. I agree with Dee, your flowers are gorgeous. And I also agree that you need the white to break up the blush. It would look to monotone and the white looks great.
  20. Review continued Day 3 Since it was pretty overcast, a lot of people decided to do their own thing during the day. Some played golf, some went to Puerto Morelos and Der and I decided to explore the resort. According to his mom, who ran every morning, it’s 2km from one end of the resort to the other end. So walking this everyday definitely alleviated major weight gains during the trip! You seriously appreciate all the work everyone puts into the resort, it’s well-manicured and really clean. And Der found a friend along the way. During our walk, we stumbled across a wooded area with a path and an entrance sign. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that it looks like a scene from a horror movie. You know, they scene where you’re wondering why anyone in their right mind would even walk in there. So of course we decided to walk in. Inside this area was a fenced yard with a miniature Chichen Itza structure….and a mannequin head beside it. I’m not lying when I say it was really creepy, especially with the head laying there. This is Der posing beside the “ruin” while holding the head, creepy huh? That night some of us decided to eat at Gondola, the Italian restaurant in Sunrise. The food was amazing! This is us with a round of tequila to kick off the night. Since the nightclub, Noir was open that night, we all decided to party. Der wasn’t feeling too good so he stayed in the room while some of us partied. My bridal party surprised me by throwing a mini stagette in Mexico! They gave me a shot glass necklace to wear (which was filled with too many tequila shots) and a pair of dice. I was to roll the dice and do whatever it said. The first one I rolled said “Play a kids game with a bald guy”. I got the first bald guy I found, showed the dice and he played “rock, paper, scissors” with me. His girlfriend thought it was hilarious and took tons of photos. The next one I rolled was “Play a kids game with a short guy”. Well we always make fun of Der’s best man for being below average height so I played pat-a-cake with him. After a lot more shots, we eventually forgot to play some more LOL
  21. Aww thanks @@deecol. I actually enjoy writing the detailed review because I had such a great time. I honestly have no regrets and Der and I are thrilled at his everything turned out. it wasn't the perfect wedding but it was perfect for us
  22. @@ashhtayy thanks hun. I thought having it detailed for future brides would be a little bit more helpful. Plus, it helps me relive the wedding week too lol @@calgarybride2015 I have an irrational fear of cats so of course everyone thought it was amusing that it chose to walk under my lounger. I had to jump in the pool because I knew I was safe there lol No bruising from the blood test It was really quick too. I know what you mean though. I had blood drawn once and the nurse kept moving the needle around because she couldn't find a vein. My whole inner arm was bruised, literally black and purple. A coworker actually pulled me aside the next day and asked if everything was ok at home. She thought I was getting abused! She's really sweet for being concerned but I had to laugh
  23. Aww thanks @@deecol, you're so sweet @@ashhtayy your centrepieces and reception table decor looks awesome! Definitely agree with everyone and I don't think you need any more. Your mason jars turned out so well too!
  24. Thanks @! I thought I'd add a lot about the blood test since I couldn't find a lot of info on that. I now have to draft wedding day review Oh and I should have mentioned that the pic above in the pool us actually me freaking out since a cat decided to walk under my pool lounger! And you know how scared I am of cats!!!!
