Decor Rental In Playa - Way Cheaper

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the recommendation! I am going to check her out for my October wedding :)

Can you clarify if you and the wedding party set up the decorations or did your vendor or resort set them up?  Was this an additional cost?

I gave them the strands of lights and the fabric and lights for my light wall. Told them my vision and they Executed it perfectly

Depends on your resort.

Mine didn't change a set up fee but lots do. Some brides don't want to pay that fee so have friends and family do the set up.

Hey! The resort decorated everything for me. I did have to pay $5/guest, but it was worth it because it was still a lot cheaper.

@@kellymenning Hi Kelly I'm hoping to rent as much as I can from Katy. Me and FH are having a hard time w/ the decorating vendor provided by the hotel. It feels like such a rip off! I guess we didn't realize how much all this would cost! Any help and tips would be great! I thought having a destination wedding would mean simple and beautiful but that cost more than  $3000! urgh

Hi! The vendor at the hotel is a complete rip off. I HIGHLY recommend renting decorations from Katy. My best tip is to join the Facebook Azul Fives Brides group because Katy is really active on there. There are also tons of pictures on there. I'd join that and reach out to Katy about using her decor. Her page on FB is Love and Lace Wedding Decor. Definitely contact her. She's super helpful. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. I'm part of the CANCUN Brides FB page and have heard some really good things about Katy. Just waiting for her respond. I'm also thinking of changing my ceremony location BC decor is too expensive! Keeping my finger crossed! I hope my hotel works with me as far as setting up!

Thanks for this! I'm planning on packing a few things for decor (Target dollar section always has the CUTEST little wedding decor stuff - my wedding isn't for another year but I'm already hoarding) but for string lights and some bigger things I'm going to reach out to Katy.

Have you guys had to pay at outside vendor fee to rent the stuff from her? Or did you just pick it up from her off the resort before the wedding?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
