How Much Are You Spending On The Welcome Bag Itself?

Recommended Posts

Everything looks great. Everyone on this site is so creative. Thank god I have you girls on here for inspiration or my wedding would be pretty boring to people.....hahaha I have to say all my ideas come from here. and they aren't even my ideas they are everyone else's ideas. But my guests don't have to know that...haha

I am planning on not shipping anything either @@Sabes44. My FI and I plan on taking 2 suitcases each and a carry on. The carry on will hold things like jewelary for the wedding and the watches my FI purchases for his groomsmen. We will have one suitcase each for our daily attire there and the second one will hopefully fit all wedding things. The only things I am bringing wedding related is the fans, OOT bags, my bouquets(which I am hoping to make myself), and the cups for the guests. I am hoping this will fit in the suitcases. My dress I guess will be my carry on.

I am not going to ship anything either, the resort allows it but doesn't guarantee anything.  We are hoping to fly first class too that could help too

We have enough points to pay for one first class ticket and are going to see if we can just buy points for the other first class ticket.  They are crazy expensive, but with points I can justify it and its our wedding!

I love everyone's ideas and that they are so willing to share and I don't mind borrowing! :)

Yes everyone's ideas are great. Question though did you purchase your bouquets. Are you making your own? I am having coral in my wedding but I find it hard to find any coral flowers for cheap and that don't look cheap. I have tried Michael's (which is were I get all my crafty things) and they don't have any yet. Or maybe they don't sell them at all. I am having lots of troubles finding any. And ordering them or getting them made are so expensive. Any ideas @@Sabes44

The wedding package through the resort comes with bouquets (I haven't seen the options yet) and I heard they can make something similar if not exactly what you want if you send a picture.  Micheal's would be my first suggestion...what about doing coral toned shells with flowers?   Not sure what your other colors are.... I love coral and hope to integrate it in my wedding, but haven't really chosen colors and am not doing a wedding party so my "colors" might be random :)

Also have you checked amazon??

I have not checked amazon. I know with shipping to Canada can be a bit expensive so I am trying to buy some things local if I can.

I will have to probably check into the resort and see what they offer and their pricing.

My colors are ivory, Coral, and a little bit of grey (just because my FI is wearing grey and groomsmen). I wasn't overly particular on color and things may end up miss matched but my main color I wanted was coral. So I guess coral and ivory flowers is what I am wanting.

Are there any other local craft stores?  You could always incorporate coral other ways (ribbon, beads, feathers etc) in your bouquet if you choose to make it.  I would imagine the resort should have options for that, just depends on what you really want.  For me I don't overly care about my bouquet as it won't be coming back with me.  i want it to look pretty and be in some pictures, but I also don't want it to take away from the background.

Also check out pinterest, you might find ideas on there and maybe you could but white or ivory flowers and make they coral your self!

I got these from Ikea:

http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40210063/

I went to the store and actually got the for like .40c each (I am also a member, which is free!!). They are perfect for taking stuff TO the beach for guests because they will dry very fast and wont keep sand. And they fold into themselves, which means they also have a pocket inside for when theyre open! :)

Also, I am spending about $15 per bag, I got a bunch of $1-2 items per bag. mostly travel size things, and some things I made myself (Do Not Disturb sign, ordered lipgloss and made the label...)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
