Previous Azul Hotel Brides - Need Help!

Recommended Posts

Hello! I am trying to find out what the tables and chairs look like for the basic set-up for the reception. Are the chairs just the basic white garden chairs that fold up? I'm trying to decide if I need to order bows for them. Any brides who got married at an Azul property previously, please help. Thanks!

All of the Karisma resorts use basic white garden chairs. the tables will be set with white table cloths and napkins. here are two shots - one from my ceremony and one from the reception set up. we added the orange (organza) chair bows and the orange lanterns. I'd highly suggest a pop of color, but you can keep it simple!

If you go to official sensatori thread there is additional information and pics/measurements as well.

You can buy them for really cheap online and take them down with you (pack flat- easy!) and then have the onsite coordinators hang them for you! Most brides here do that and it works great! karisma charges max $250 to set up all your decor for you that you bring from home and they do an awesome job!

The other thing you can do is google the name of your resort and "wedding images" and it will bring up a ton of all different pictures that you can look at. So if you want Azul Beach then google "azul beach wedding images" and it will bring up dozens of photos for you to look at.

I was going to bite the bullet and pay $2500 paper lanterns through Lomas (!) for our wedding reception at the garden of Azul Fivs, but then I saw these posts.  Did you guys end up bringing your own paper lanterns for your wedding?  I'm trying to find out from my WC what are the measurements of each string and how many paper lanterns I'd need to order, but she's been radio silent for a week or so.

If you're bringing paper lanterns, are you also bring the stringed lights or ordering those through Lomas?  Appreciate your insight!

I just ordered them through Lomas because I don't want to have to bring down another thing. I'm starting to get a little overwhelmed with how much stuff I'm bringing down there. I'm doing 40 paper lanterns for a whopping $1500. Ridiculous, but my WC says is really pretty and plenty of light.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
