There is a team of employees that get guests doing anything from beach volleyball to relay races in the pool... But if you want to book an excursion you can do that for a fee and arrange through your operator or hotel.

The hair makeup package is free to anyone using a GI certified agent, as is the room upgrade. You just need to ask.

Just a question for you. Since you're in canada like me, did you find a GI certified agent? If so, how? I'm going around in circles looking at resorts and just not finding what I want. I cam across Azul Fives so it is on the short list at the moment. Don't know if it will stay there or not. I know if you do use a GI certified agent you do get extra perks, but I wondered if that also applies here or just in the US?

Thanks!

@@acw271011 Mine is Laurielee! She is a GI certified agent and can access the perks!

Ok. Thanks. I've already spoken with her. I was just curious. We don't have enough people to qualify for a group rate so she said there wasn't a whole lot that she could help with. We'll be 6 that I know of from this country and possibly 2 or 4 more from the UK. For the ones here, we have air miles certificates that we want to use too and she isn't a registered agent for that. Any ideas how to look for a GI certified agent? Maybe we can find one that is also registered for air miles certs. We have enough to reduce our fares by the max of $400 each, plus enough left over to help someone else.

You can go online and they have a list of them on the karisma site! Another option is have Laurielee book your rooms and hotel only... And then use your airmile vouchers elsewhere to get the flights... Then at least you are tagged to a GI agent and can get any perks that apply to the small group.

No it doesn't work that way. The air miles certificates are specifically for packages with Transat. We used them when we got married in Jamaica and have just been building them since then. We just had our 3rd wedding anniversary on Monday so we've accumulated quite a few miles since then! lol But I'll check out the Karisma site and see what I can find, then try and match it if I can with the air miles agents. I still haven't decided anyway on a resort. Still looking and we don't see the Dr until Nov 5th so don't even know until then what our situation will be. I'm also looking at the Iberostar resorts, Secrets Capri, Sandos Playacar and the Ocean Maya Royale, which is adults only. I had someone recommend Sun Palace today, but it's Cancun and we're doing our ceremony stuff in PDC so it doesn't work. Since we're such a small group I want to make a decision on a resort by Christmas if our news is good. If it's not, then everything goes on hold until our anniversary in October 2016.

Hello everyone! I just figured out finally how to start a new forum. I wanted to start a 2015 page for Azul Fives because I only saw 2014 and if you are like me you probably are already planning even though its over a year away. If anyone is planning a wedding in 2015 at Azul Fives please post here! I just booked mine for May 12, 2015!

I'm getting married at Azul Fives in Feb and struggling with what vendors to use and paying the outside vendor fees.... Can use some advice!

Vendor fees will be $800 per vendor or 3 night stay per person.

Outside vendors? Like what? Most common are DJ, photography and makeup artists around here and there are good reviews of different vendors on the reviews section. Make sure you look at what is offered by Karisma/Lomas first... And then look at outside vendors to save on the fees! The karisma DJs are actually supposed to be quite good, as are the makeup artists!

With your wedding in February 2015 I wouldn't delay booking vendors any longer... That's high season and many may be booked (I'm booked for February 2016).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
