@@pandahugs - our wedding will be about 50-75 people. To @@JMK923 's point, the registry will help those like co-workers who may want to do a group gift. :) Regardless of how many things you do or don't get, I think doing one is fun and one of the "perks" of being a bride-to-be. :)

Absolutely create a registry! I received thoughtful gifts from co-workers and people who weren't even invited to my wedding. I was SO surprised and it was such a nice gesture from people. I registered at Bed Bath & Beyond and Pottery Barn.

By the way, you will LOVE Turks and Caicos! I was just there last year with my mom for a girls getaway :) Most beautiful beaches and water I have ever seen. We stayed at the Reagant Palms.

Aw that is so nice of your coworkers! Yeah I do kinda feel like since people know we're going away I feel like people will be less inclined to give gifts because they're not invited but maybe that's just how I would feel (though it would depend on the friend I suppose). I'm glad you had a good time! Regent palms looks beautiful, that was a venue we had also considered.

I think you are totally right! I started a list of some stuff and I think will go with crate and barrel for one, maybe bed bath and beyond but they seem very similar to me. I like my registry too so I think we can use that as a catchall for random stuff we want to add from different stores like etsy, lowes, or other miscellaneous places.

I think you should definitely do a registry. You don't need to advertise that you have it but that way if someone asks you will have it. There will be people that would like to give you gifts even if they weren't invited.
Plus it doesn't hurt anyone right? :)

I say yes to a registry.  People at the AHR may still want to get you a gift.  And there's all the little things too... showers, etc.  My FI and I registered at Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond.

Nice to see what everyone else is doing. My fiancé refuses to have a registry -he thinks people are paying enough to go. His family are the ones asking for the registry (go figure). This week we received a target registry flier in the mail with a $20 gift card once you sign up... He loved that but only wants to sign up for the gift card lol.

My fiance and I feel the same about the whole registry thing.  We feel we are already asking people to shell out a lot of money to come on our trip so we have not done a registry.  Plus we have had a house now for two years and have most of the things that we need.

We went and registered last weekend. While we are both established and bought a house together there are other odds and ends that could help. While we aren't expecting anything, my thought is having a registry guides anyone who wants to give you something into finding something that you want/need.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
