"Don't like it, don't come." They should sell t-shirts that say that.

Or put it on the 1st page of my wedding site. Too much?

On my wedding site I am spelling it all out.  This is were we are staying, but if it isn't for you or too expensive here is a list of others close.  This is what we are doing on this day as a wedding party if you want to come let me know, if not your loss.

I figure it is my wedding and my party and my vacation, if you want to have fun with me then let's go, if not then you figure it out on your own it isn't my job to be a babysitter or entertain.

Love the concerns tab idea.  I am not having much problems with the fam not liking anything, but I really haven't told them much either, do I am sure I will.

I am going to have to check that thread out! I'm currently having ALL kinds of issues with the MIL and SIL. They are trying their hardest to change my mind on having a destination wedding I think. I'm over it already She is very, very pushy and manipulative. I'm standing my ground. Now they are saying they aren't even coming to the wedding, which I think is horrible they wouldn't be there for him...but at the same time I'm getting ready to say SO BE IT!!! We are also thinking of doing the legal part here to save some money and not have to worry about any issues with paperwork and all that jazz. I'm not EVEN going to mention that part to them!! That will just be ONE more thing they will cause drama about!

I still kind of have this problem with my MIL and SIL. They don't understand why we want to get married away and not have the whole family there and everything.  We're only invited immediate family, so we'll have about 20 guests total, it just was not important to us to have a big wedding at home and they don't understand that.  My MIL was always making really passive aggressive comments to me when we first announced it would be held in Mexico and finally I just told her she did not have to come and that if we HAD to have anyone there at our wedding, we have done it in our hometown. But all that is important is that him, our daughter, and myself be there. Anyone else is a bonus!

We are going to do the legal part here in the states first or right after though.  We're not going to be in the country long enough before the wedding day to make it legal and the blood thing and price wasn't worth it. But we're not telling anyone.  Secret! I'm thinking of having some sentimental marriage license/certificate thing made up with our vows on it that all the guests can sign as a guest book, but also as witnesses to our testimony to each other.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
