We'll we both have family that lives in Dominican, we also recently went to a wedding in punta Cana and we didn't want his family traveling to the same place so we decided on la romana. It's beautiful and the resort has a nice gazebo and that sold me

You go girl!  I definitely think you can do it!!!  Don't let my non-craftiness discourage you, I'm just not crafty at all LOL  I agree with strwbsprkl that Michael's has Real Touch flowers you can buy (don't forget your 40% off coupons that come out quite often from them).  For flowers I ended up buying the pomanders/kissing balls (sp?) for the aisle decor and I'm going to flip them over ribbon down in a vase for table decor after.  Definitely share pictures along the way, I'm rooting for you.

My extent of crafting is purchasing beads and putting them on an elastic cord for barefoot sandals, which have turned out to be really easy.  (I highly encourage this craft if you're interested for your lady guests)  Bought some great beads from a local store and off of DHGate.  Hope they all turn out nice. I'll keep you girls posted when I've done a few.

WOW 40%! Thank you, I wouldn't have even thought of it.  It will help out since I am making boutonnieres, bouquets and aisle flowers. I can do it!  I CAN DO IT!

And you sound darn crafty if your making barefoot sandals!

How are you doing the RSVP for everyone?

Thank you ladies!  We're really happy about it.

On the back will have the contact information to RSVP to us or the travel agent.  Also, the flight dates and pre-registration quotes for the trip. My designer hasn't completed it yet.

What a awesome idea. I may look at doing the same for the RSVP that way I may save a bit of money and only send them out to the people who are coming to the wedding. Thanks for the idea.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
