RIU PALACE COSTA RICA (New beside RIU Guanacaste)

Recommended Posts

Hello, I am in major confused mode right now! my thoughts when planning the wedding would be thst I woul pay my own way and the cost of the wedding, but I am told I am respo sible for paying for all of the rooms upfront, is that right? And if so, how does that work when my guest book and pay?

Also, what is the major difference between the palace and the riu guanacasta?

I think that depends on your travel agent and what not, we had to put a down payment to save the rooms, but once our guests booked then the money we put down was used towards our room. The Palace is newer, we didn't go over to the Guanacaste a ton becasue we didn't feel the need to.

Hey Antoinette,   Congratulations on your recent Engagement! What is that you would like to know? Here are the pictures that I have, for your reference. These are for some of the venue options at the RIU Palace Costa Rica.     Conference Centre Ballroom  http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/207072/width/350/height/700     Green Area http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/207073/width/350/height/700     Green Area http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/207074/width/350/height/700     Flamingo Terrace http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/207075/width/350/height/700     Terrace Limpia (4th Floor Terrace) - Very large area and beautiful for reception, but maximum time is 10PM since there are a lot of rooms right under the terrace http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/207076/width/350/height/700

I am planning my wedding, but only see one option for the ceremony location, is that right?

@ccoburn142 Hello saw that you got married at the RIU palace and wanted to know a few things, Did you end up paying extra for a private ceremony and if so was it a huge cost. Also how was the wedding coordinator did they do everything you wanted. I will be getting married here in AUG 2016 and just want to make sure this is the right choice. Also can you put a down payment on everybody's  room or actually pay the full price for it.

Thank you

Hey we're planning a destination wedding at Riu Palace in Costa Rica. We were wondering if you had any information on reserving the rooftop terrace or any info on rates for catering? Thanks!

Our wedding is in April at the Palace, and so far planning has been easy. If you have any questions I can try and help, once we get back I would be able to say more about the resort itself and the experience.

    • I purchased a suit from Studio Suits in spring 2019.  I looked around everywhere because I was looking for a specific color which wasn't easy to find, so when I found it on their website I read all the info on their website where they claim to deliver high quality suits, premium material, great tailoring, etc. It couldn't be more false. First of all the company is from INDIA and you won't find out until you receive the package. You order from Stu Suits and receive the package from Harry Suits. I received a suit that was at least two sizes bigger, the shoulders where different one from another, the hamming on the ankles was visible and poorly done. The quality of the fabric was extremely mediocre. The lining looked and felt cheap, no attention to details and no mention anywhere of the kind of material.  When I placed the order I did not receive any welcoming email, but simply one stating my measurements were  not correct and I needed to pay for a trial suit 99$. I re took the measurements and confirmed them. They simply replied saying "all sales are final". When I placed the order they said it would take them 6 weeks to deliver the "custom made suit". I received it within ten days, why? because it wasn't custom at all. I can't stress enough how bad the quality of their product and service is. There are so many other services that can deliver so much better quality for less than what this con company asks for. Hope this can help you folks

After being paid in full she did not show up and texted  that she is sick . We had to take over  to save the wedding of 150 guests at Grand Velas . Cabo  MISSING WEDDING PLANNER.

    • You might consider underground studio Puerto Vallarta. They are a young coupe doing an excellent Job at affordable rates.
    • Thanks for answering Patty! We are having the legal proceedings done in December so february is the celebration. We will have pictures first then a ceremony with a religious discourse and then have the reception.  I'm guessing we will be 50 people, give or take. Half of them are Canadian. They will need accommodations but if we have the wedding ag a resort I dont want them to be forced into staying there if they dont want to.
