Considering the hotel is so new (opened November 2012), I am looking to hear from Brides who specifically were married at the new Palace as opposed to the Guanacaste.

I have attempted to contact the hotel directly for details but from my understanding, all of the wedding details such as food, decor, private venue locations will be EXACTLY the same as the Guanacaste. Kind of defeats the point of paying extra to stay at the nicer (more expensive) resort.

I'm sure than have been some brides to get married at the PALACE in the last 6 months since its been opened.
Would love to hear from you!

    Thanks,

    Antoinette.

      Hey Antoinette,

Congratulations on your recent Engagement! What is that you would like to know? Here are the pictures that I have, for your reference. These are for some of the venue options at the RIU Palace Costa Rica.

      Conference Centre Ballroom

      Green Area

      Green Area

      Flamingo Terrace

Terrace Limpia (4th Floor Terrace) - Very large area and beautiful for reception, but maximum time is 10PM since there are a lot of rooms right under the terrace

They usually get back to me within a week or so whenever I email them. Especially to confirm your wedding date. Who are you corresponding with at the RIU? We have clients getting married here next year, let me know if you have any questions and I will see if I have the answers!

Good luck and happy planning =)

They did finally getback to me took a little over a week but I got the confirmation now. I received the email from Pilar Valinas, although it also says Fernanda Rodrguez Vel¡zquez at the top with the email address.

They sent all the pricing info and stuff so hopefully I will be good to go but thanks I will remember this if I have any!

Please be advised that Pilar is not the hotel's coordinator - but the sales department at RIU Head office in Cancun.

Ivannia is the designated Wedding Planner for RIU Palace Costa Rica.

This terrace option is not at the Palace but at the Guanacaste next door. Be advised.

I am also considering the RIU Palace in Costa Rica for my wedding next year. Antoinette, I was also debating between the Guanacaste and Palace. I was wondering if any one here has done a site visit or how did you settle on the resort?

I've read a lot of reviews online. We ended up choosing the Palace due to the fact that it was brand new and very modern. It appealed to our family's lifestyle the best. There is also a cost difference between the two. That in itself can be a deciding factor for you.

I just reserved the Palace for May 2014. The resort seems beautiful, and the packages including if you want to do a private dinner seems very reasonable!

HAs anyone had or getting close to having their wedding here yet? I wanted to find a photographer too!
