This is a very beautiful dress!  Love the shoulder strap with beading and the ruching makes it fit you like a glove.  Great choice!

Ah! Dress envy. This is awesome! I love everything about it-the one shoulder, the ruffles at the bottom, the subtle bling...fantastic choice. You look great. I second Susan 1672...who's the designer?

Thanks Ladies for the compliments! **blushes**

It fits perfectly right now. My Mom is coming into town so I wanted to make sure I still fit into it. LOL . It hides my gut really good, and I like the fact you can stand with your legs apart underneath the dress.  I think I'm only altering the length a bit.

It's an ALLURE dress. #8766

Fabulous choice! How awesome that it fits you so well and that it lets you stand freely! :D Love the rouching and the ruffles!

I'm so excited that I found my dress!  I went to Priscilla of Boston just to look because I love their dresses and they are going out of business.  This dress was the first dress I saw and I fell in love with it. It's 2 sizes too big and way too long right now but here it is!

Kristen, I agree with the other ladies here. You look beautiful in this dress as it is! If I could look like you in a strapless I would have considered a strapless wedding dress! I think with the sweetheart neckline it will look absolutely gorgeous! And I don't know why you'd want to lose 20 pounds, unless you're thinking of your health like jmastr05 said! You have a great figure! I think sometimes we go into wedding dress shopping with too many ideas in our heads, especially when all the models in wedding dress magazines are thin and tall (I'm stocky and short with broad shoulders). The dress I wanted from pictures I'd seen ended up looking awful on me. And the dress I ordered was definitely not what I envisioned purchasing but it had all the elements I wanted and things I didn't think I'd like. It actually was totally me, my friends said, despite the fact that it was nothing like what they thought I might purchase.

But I definitely had my doubts after ordering my dress. I ordered it in December and didn't see it again till May. Halfway between December and May I went and tried on this other dress (at a party dress store) because it just caught my eye and I thought it was beautiful and perfect for a beach wedding, not to mention something nontraditional which I wanted. The fabric flowed more, there was color in it which I had always thought would be fun and it fit me perfectly. I was in agony for days, so much so that I decided to go back to the bridal salon with a friend (who saw me in the other dress) to try on the sample of my dress. Since she had seen me in both she was able to give me an honest opinion about both dresses and she LOVED the original dress I had chosen hands down over the other one. Of course I still stared at the picture of me in the party dress for the next week but I put it out of my mind eventually, especially after my fiance told me to go with my gut instincts and stop thinking about everything else (I even showed him the dress so that I would not be tempted to buy it, since he hasn't and won't see my wedding dress till the big day). But the day I went to try on my dress that had finally come in I knew I had chosen the right one. It needed some alterations but overall I absolutely loved it. I didn't cry or anything (I didn't even cry the first day I said yes to that dress; I just left the store grinning like an idiot); my friend said I just glowed. I can tell you now, after all my alterations have been done, I am sooooooo happy about my dress, and so happy that I put the other one out of my mind because it doesn't compare.

So remind yourself why you chose the dress and what you love about it. If you need a physical reminder, go back and try it on again. Maybe it'll help you with the doubts.

I love Priscilla of Boston gowns and had an appointment with them that I postponed (my future MIL was going to come with me and the dates didn't work) but I found my dress elsewhere prior to my Priscilla of Boston appointment.  I was tempted to make an appointment to go and just try on some of their gowns for the heck of it when I saw they were going out of business.  Maybe I still will.  Your dress is beautiful and it is so wonderful that you found your gown before they closed!

    • Hi everyone, I am so happy that I am getting married to the love of my life. He proposed me and we are getting married within in a couple of months. And I have started preparations for my big day. I am super excited about a lot of things and also worried about many things.I have some inhibitions about my face and skin. Since I am a working woman, I have never got much time for personal care. This is the right time for it now. I need  proper medical grade skin care. Want to improve my skin tone and texture  I read some details about it here, https://www.mcleanclinic.com/nonsurgical-procedures/non-surgical/skin-care/, and found it really helpful. Can anyone of you suggest me some more tips? Like what I can do at home to have a glow on my face?  Thanks in advance.
    • I think you should approach the dentist. That would be the best idea as of now.
    • I think that would be a great idea. I have tried it once and loved it.!
    • That's really sweet. I am sure she would love that.!!
