2014 Hard Rock Punta Cana DR Brides!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I am having such a hard time trying to estimate how much a wedding would cost me here. I like the elegant ivory collection  ($3500) but I will have approximately 160 guests. So I know that the private reception and cocktail hour is "free" but I guess I have to add in the costs of the decor? Is that the round table "additional options" I see? So 20 tables at $300 is $6k. And I read somewhere that if you have guests above the 30, then it costs an extra $8 per chair? So for the ceremony do I need to add on an expense of $8 for the extra 130 people?

I'm just so confused - has anyone developed a spreadsheet or something based on their guests above 30 people? I'm afraid that the costs will add up to more than I can afford.

ANY input would be super helpful! Thanks!

Hi Ladies!!! Any 2014 HR brides out there? I didn't see a specific thread for us so i figured id start one. My wedding is March 8th 2014

Hey,

do you have any pics of the resort? any tips on centerpieces, outside vendors, cake, music and photos?

Hello!!!

Hoping to get some guidance from anyone who has gotten married or is getting married at the Hard Rock in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

My current issue of the day is offering my guests local / near by resorts as alternate options to staying at the Hard Rock Punta Cana. Does anyone have any suggestions??? Feedback would be WONDERFUL!!! My wedding is scheduled for Feb 14 2015 and I am working with Maryln in Miami.

Hoping to make some DW friends!!

Cheers,

Maggie

I am planning my wedding for December 2015 at the Hard Rock Hotel. Right now I am trying to pick a travel agent to work with. Has anyone ever worked with one of Hard Rock's WOW Specialist? If you have what were some of the benefits that came along with doing that?

Thanks!!!

i've worked with marlyn tobon, shes so responsive at the HRH...

Tam, we used HDC for our pictures. If you get me an e-mail address I would be glad to share them with you. We got our pictures on CD three days after the wedding. We were totally blown away by the quality of what we received. We had 52 people in attendance and in total it probably cost us $25k. But that is a total budget and a lot of things that most brides and grooms don't pay for. Back that out those costs and it probably would have cost us $20k.....and that was with two free three hour events.

Hello Kiki2289!

We used the HR DJ and we felt like we were partying in our favorite clubs in DC or Philly. We were nervous about it but it went as well as could be expected. Just give them the list of songs that your WC will ask you for and they will be able to tell what you like!

We had our wedding at 4pm. The ceremony was over at 4:30 and then we took a group picture with all our guests. By that time it was 4:45 and the guests went to too the cocktail hour. My wife and I started our pictures at around 4:45 and we didn't get done until 5:45 or so. I must admit....I was tired and ready to party but it went well. We used HDC and Milan really helped us capture every shot we wanted! Good luck and let me know if I can be of assistance.

Has anyone used the photography service offered through the hard rock, if so how were they? My wedding is in March, not sure if we should use them or someone outside. Thanks for your help!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
