My FI and I have been together for 4 yrs and believe it or not we never talked about getting married, it was like unspoken that we knew we loved each other dearly and would be together forever (ring or not)....but out of the blue he proposed at dinner with a HUGE diamond and the rest is hisotry....so my theory is the longer a girl waits the bigger your diamond will be....lol

HUGE diamond!!!! niiiiiice.

you don't sound like bridezilla at all, just tell them if they want you to have a ring sooner, then they should buy you what they feel you should have.

I've been ok, just ordered my dress this week from jasmines bridal and started my last semester of grad school last night (booooo). How are you?

I'm hanging in there... After reading the boards I've decided to change my TA. So that's a little stressful. I'm not sure how that's going to affect my wedding date. i'm just trying to get through the weekend. Congrats on your last semester of Grad school. It will be over before you know it. YOu'll have so much free time you won't even know what to do with yourself.

I can give you my TA name and #. I live in Atlanta, and she's in NC but she's wonderful, i've used her in the past several times. been going through her for almost 10 years so i know i can trust her. she works for Travel Leaders in Jacksonville Nc(where camp lejeune marine corp base is) It used to be Carlosn Wagonlit(they've always been reputable)

These are pics of my ring from the night he proposed....It's funny because after being with him for 4 yrs he didn't know my ring size, he thought I was a size 4 and I couldn't event get my ring on....

If anyone in NJ or NY needs a jeweler my guy is awesome...my ring appraised for $22k of course my FI did not pay that amount...I also purchased a necklace for my dress that was $4,900 but my jeweler sold it to us for $2,500.... AND my FI had to have a custom made ring and it was only $1,500 with 1ct of diamonds  AMAZING DEAL!!!!

I went through destinationweddings.com and it only cost $50 and from there the TA gets paid commissions by the hotel. I also got an awesome rate for my guest. The packages for NOW Sapphire ranged from $390pp for Fri-Sun, $586pp for Fri-Mon great deal for all luxury resort....but they work with all resorts but of course if you select their preferred resort you get lots of perks like for every 5 rooms booked you get 1 room free, we've booked so many rooms that we will end up staying for free which is awesome!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
