Compared to my FI yes, but in all actuality I'm pretty lucky. My older sister is my MOH and I have 4 bridesmaids. Although I always wanted to do mine in NYC I didn't feel comfortable asking people to do that. Although it wouldn't be that much money I just feel they're already doing so much for me including taking time off work for my wedding. We're doing dinner, an improv comedy and then going out. We're also staying in a hotel because my sister said she can't return me to my FI after haha.

My FI though, he has plans to go to Miami, Las Vegas or something for at least 4 days. The only somewhat economical option he's mentioned is Atlantic City and even then he wants to fly. I told him I thought that was a little much to ask of people and seemed a little selfish and he looked at me like I had 10 heads and said  "the guys want to go it's an excuse to get away".  I still think it's too much to ask but we've agreed to disagree.

Yes you are definitely gonna have to top these off tough act to follow. .hahaha. they are truly amazing though all the way to the package and scent..I love the stamp too.Did it come from Michael's?

My FI is the same he hates being barefoot as well. .always yells at me like a child for being barefoot.

Oh I don't know I assumed there was something after "Junior Member" but I have no idea hahha

The stamp did come from Michael's  --- it is actually two - the heart is it's own.... the saying was in the stamp aisle and the heart is in a three pack in the aisle with all the 1-3 dollar items

I'd be happy to give pointers - is there something in  particular you are looking to make at the moment?      That is cute to have all the girls do barefoot sandals : )

Mmmhhhmmm - I'd be surprised if you didn't find anything there you like!!  Patriot place is huge and as a ton of stores there so if there are other things you are looking for it is a nice outlet to go to

The only thing is it only comes in Ivory and I need a White dress b/c the FI has chosen his white suit (got it on sale at express) and i guess we kinda have to match. So I am going with Jasmine's Bridal to replicate it for me in white. I too, am not wearing a "beachy, destination" wedding dress. I figured...Go big or Go Home! I'm only doing this once and I'll never get to wear something like this again!!! But my girls are doing the beachy feel with convertible dresses and flat silver sandals. My flower girls, however, will be in the traditional white dress with the colored sash and my ring bearer's father has insisted "a true gentleman does not go casual for such an occasion", so my baby cousin will be in a grey vest and pants with white shirt and bow tie.

Very Pretty!!!!!

I am always at Michael's and AC Moore.  I'm a touchy feely person so while I do buy things online sometimes I prefer to go to the store...   I always don't always have an idea of what or how to do something I am looking to make - I go to the store and when I see something I think I can use I go from there.

I feel like my sisters are more excited about going to Jamaica than the actual wedding! They are talking about buying an extra suitcase when they already each have 2 huge ones!

I'm like 'really?? I don't want you hanging around my entire wedding-moon!!!"

We will be there for two weeks - my wedding is on a Wednesday - I know most everyone will be staying a week(ish) - I have included a little note in my STDs  that says "there is a 3 night minimum stay - so please save the dates of 21-24th)  -  I figured it they stay longer they will probably add a day or two on to each end of that - we will have 4 or 5 days before most people get there and 4 or 5 days after they leave.

Are you doing a website or any mass emails?   Or maybe even on your invites - say something like "Our wedding will take place on (date) followed by our honeymoon in (location)."  or "we look forward to spending time with you in (location) up to our wedding day and then spending time with each other for our honeymoon"  or are you sending out an agenda of events? Put it on there listed as Our Honeymoon (Date - Date)

I think if it is really important to you to have some alone time with your new hubby after your wedding it is better to put it out there to everyone a head of time so people know to expect you to be MIA after the wedding day and they don't feel like you abandoned them after they came to be with you.

I'm doing online RSVP only, and I was told "that is SO improper." TO me: it saves trees, and both FI and I are tech nerds, so online is best for us. Our STD even has a QR code to scan that takes you to our website..lol

I think for me it is probably not necessary BUT I am doing them because although I have no idea what my invites are going to look like I have a cute idea for my RSVPs : )

The only thing we've done is booked the venue, guest list made and wedding website made.  Hoping to get the STDs out within a week and book our photographer and hair/makeup within the next week.  I've been dress shopping twice and have two appointments next week but still no luck!

All that being said, the family drama sure has started!!!

Hey another Boston Lady : )  Hclibby and I are both in the Boston area!   Welcome to the board!!!

No worries about feeling behind - my advice is to make a list of everything - put it on a calader start with things you know need to be done by a certain date then divide up the other things in a way where you aren't ever doing too many things at one time.

It will all come together!!  As for drama - Just smile and nod Hehehe

I felt guilty having a shower but my Mom insists and is going to host it. She's inviting her friends and extended family that aren't invited to the wedding. It makes me feel guilty and awkward but she wasn't taking no for an answer. Which reminds me I need to do my registry! All I have on there now is a kitchen aide mixer hahaha

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
