Thank you Jennifer. You make your wedding your own they way you want it and it comes out being the way you imagined it and that's all that mattered:-) Do not stress so much because unfortunately I did and the bags under my eyes I couldnt get rid of and that is something I couldnt take away after you realize it all turned out just like it should have :-)

Thank you ladies. I am in contact with Luisa and sent the info to reserve July 2013 wedding. Very exciting. Now I am new. What questions should I be asking WC. We are doing the divine package, beach wedding 3:00 pm. Now what location is best for an open area reception without extra cost? Also best location for the late afternoon cocktail hour?

Hi Gizzmo!  First things first... Read this WHOLE thread - You will have MOST of your questions answered, I know I did - Its VERY helpful!

They told me that they generally do the cocktail hour in the location of the wedding, so I'm having a beach wedding as well and then the cocktail hour will be right after on the beach...

Open area with no extra cost for reception - I think the pool or the beach... I chose pool - I'll let you know how it goes when I get back - but I've heard good things from other brides on here!

Congratulations and good luck!

Are a lot you ladies getting the DJ? I feel torn and don't know if I want to spend that much money. I only have 19 people comin... I feel like maybe I should go buy a couple wireless mini speakers from Walmart and hook up the Ipod for music.

What are your plans for the reception music/dancing?

Hi Mandie,

We are also just renting the equipement.... I have 18 guests.

For 3 hours ( dinner in that time frame) I can't spend that much money on a DJ... when it is to be over at 9/10pm. The group can then go to club on the resort if they want to continue to party :-)

I guess it depends on where you are having your reception if the speakers from Walmart will work... it may not be loud enough.

But  I am going to see how loud my dock for the satelite radio goes.. it has an ipod hook up on it... could save 350 dollars!

Oh definitely!!! I should look into getting our own as well as a way to save the $$. We are looking at either the pool area or the Carnival Terrace, just depends on the amount of guests that book. So far we have 25, including us. What about you?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
