Hi Ladies! For our favors for our AHR, we had pint glasses made and want to have them at each place setting at the AHR. FI thinks that it will look silly if we don't put anything in them so I'm thinking of filling them with shredded paper that matches our wedding colors and putting a swizzle stick in....but I can't seem to find any cute ones anywhere! I looked on Etsy but I really can't afford to pay over $200 for just freaking swizzle sticks! Have you ladies done something like this and where did you find your swizzle sticks?

You might get lucky and find some cool ones just on Amazon. I tried looking but I'm not sure what your colors are and how many guests you would need to buy for. Also, have you tried any party supply stores they might have some cute ones, and if you find them locally you won't have to pay for shipping.

I love the pint glasses idea by the way!

hmmm...maybe try oriental trading company or bar supply websites, if you want to personalize i'm sure you could use something free from vista print. I think it might be cool to have candy in them instead of paper if that fits the budget

So which ones did you go with Sunset Love? Post some pictures. I also like the idea of candy in the glasses, although this would affect the budget.

I haven't decided yet but I only have 6 weeks to go so I better decide soon!! I am more leaning towards doing umbrellas instead of swizzle sticks now. I would love to do candy but I think our budget is just maxed out :(

The cocktail umbrella idea is really cute!! I've seen that done at a local wedding before (They had martini glasses rather than pints, but same idea) and the set up looked great at the place settings.  Personally, I don't feel that many people would re-use swizzle sticks, so to put out the extra money may be a waste. The umbrellas are cheap, cute and really convey the destination wedding vibe!

Keep us posted with what you decide :)

I will definitely let you know! I'm glad to get some feedback from someone who has seen that done before - I'm almost 100% positive that's what we're going to do, I just need to get my butt to the store to buy the stuff! I am having bride-itis....is that such a thing? LOL

once, you get the materials, make it a family/ friend get together and do things like the sticks, and any labour intensive jobs as a group assembly line. It'll go faster and a fun time to share and talk over wedding details, so there are no surprises. have fun
