Miwakostory, Thank you for the reply re: photographer. We were planning on doing the same as you did treating them as a guest, so I'm glad to hear they didn't give you a hard time!

Hello Ladies, here are my answers to your questions.

          1. I bought the paper fans at Asian ideas.com

          1. Gift bags: travel size items like, Advil, Alka-Seltzer packets, a welcome letter and Itinerary of wedding week events. Also sunscreen bottle, lotion, gum, pedicure kit, emergen-C packets, Chapstik, etc.

          1. We choose to have the dinner at the Steakhouse and move to Baja Norte for reception to use the semi-private dinner included in the wedding packet, instead of paying $32.00Plus per person for each plate.

          1. I didn’t like the RIU photographer(s), but I knew this before I booked them, this is why I only booked them for one hour, all of my family/friends had professional cameras but I knew they wouldn’t capture enough pictures during the ceremony. I paid $500.00 for one-hour of pictures on a CD.

          1. Regarding table linens and chair sashes, I brought all of my stuff to Cabo, even cloth napkins. They do not have many colors to choose from.

OMG....just got back from the RIU Palace. We were supposed to get married on 8-18-12 on the property but...... Rain strom, flooding, NO RUNNING WATER, NO AIR CONDITIONING, we moved resorts and planned a wedding in about an hour and a half at The Hilton. Despite the conditions that the RIU did not provide...The Hilton did AMAZING!!!!! My only sad part was that...we had no photographer...and we have to use friends and family snap shots. But the only thing that mattered was I married my best friend!!!

This is such a great forum, I'm so glad I found it! I am getting married at the Riu Palace Cabo in Febrauary 2013. I'm just wondering if anyone had the price list that the resort sent you. If anyone does, could you please email it to me?

Thanks all for sharing your experiences and pics.

Rain or Shine, You are now married to your best friend and that's the most important thing. Congratulations!

P.S.  Rain is a sign of abundance, a lucky omen :)

Wow Terbear how were you able to move your entire wedding party and guests to the Hilton on such short notice?

I am SOO HAPPY that everything worked for you and your guests. Congrats on your wedding and marriage!

Hello! I was just wondering for all those brides that have been married at the Riu Palace are they strict about the 11 o'clock end time? Or can you push it till 12? I just feel 11 is really early to be shutting the night down..

I apologize if this was already asked/answered before, but can anyone tell me how much pp dinner, etc. is if you are above the 40 included in the Caprice package?
