Wow! For someone who says she's not a DIY, you have done an outstanding job. Everything looked so professional, well thought out and elegant! This is a wonderful planning thread for new brides to be. It will certainly be an inspiration humble.gifI hope the wedding was everything of your dreams! And look forward to stumbling across your pro photos once you post them.

Congrats!

murmel,

You are far too kind!  It is true, I WAS a "find the best price and the best designer, and I'll pay for it" type of gal.  That was so before this site along with the FAB ladies that post and share, Martha Stewart, & Michaels woot.gif

I spoke with Ivan from Luckie Photography and I should have my photos in the latter part of this month.... I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for these babies.

Great great job!  Since you are doing a nautical theme, I would definitely play around with the font a little to pull out the anchor..  I'm not sure if this is the anchor that you are using in all of your projects.. but if so I would play up the font... If not try to look for an anchor with a little more umph so to speak...  That will make your label stand out.

It wouldn't hurt to try clear labels but look at the cost, as labels can run a little pricey (shhh I got mine from work) but the shrink wrap on ebay ran about $3.50 or $5 for 50

Thanks, Mrs Wright!  -

Yes, I am using this anchor throughout a lot of my projects.  I ended up making it bigger & stretching it out a bit.  I was hoping to make it a little more personalized by adding our names somewhere, I am not that good with designing!  I am okay with the end result.  I've personalized many other things.

I went and bought the clear labels and they work SO MUCH BETTER!!!!  I got them cheap at Walmart.  I then took your advice and got the shrink wrap seals.   I got 100 for $6.00 with S&H.  I did not want the ink to smudge on the label.  Especially if using them on the beach or by the pool with wet/suntan lotion hands!!  I only tested one shrink-wrap so far - AMAZING!  Thanks so much for the tip.

Here are some updated pics.  These are without the shrink wrap.  I also included a pic of my anchor I am using in my projects - when it's bigger you can see the detail.

I keep seeing everyone say to cut it, but how do you know where to put your design on the label? I am so challenged when it comes to DIY but I really want to change that during this planning process! Do you think you can email me a template of how you are doing yours? I'm trying to get my post count up and I can't access any of the templates yet! :-/

Thank you Shannonmarie!  You are sweet.  Was Mrs. Wright able to help you on this?

You are more than welcome!

Love love love what you did with the chap sticks, they look amazing and with you making the anchor bigger and stretching it out it gives it that pop.  I see the detail as well!  Great job.

Gotta love shrink wrap huh ;-)

Thank you so very much!  Definitely stay ahead of the curve but before you start gathering TONS of stuff, try to get an idea of what you and your FI want YOUR day to be!  Colors, theme, etc.. once you have that in mind... everything else will become easier.

I will send the template over.

Happy Planning

Thank you!  We truly had the wedding of our dreams.  You can truly use whatever chap stick you like.  We had a few people with allergies so that's what lead me on a hunt for natural chap stick.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
