2013 Paradisus Palma Real

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies- So I was transferred to my on-site wedding coordinator last week but it has not been what I expected. I was first put in contact with Massiel with seems to be the supervisor and she informed me that my planner would be Yesica (haven't heard anyone mention her)... But then when I get emails it comes from Maria. Also, they've been EXTREMELY delayed in getting back with responses. Everyone's positive expericences have me a little at ease but it's still very frustrating. Ps... We leave in 8 days and I've officially started to obsess about the weather... Of course I want great weather for the wedding but I also want great weather so that my guests can really enjoy themselves :-) Thanks for letting me vent ;-) Darlene
I know what you mean Darlene! I have sent Yessica a couple of emails to confirm dinner reservations, info on steaming my dress and a contact for a car service to take us to Altos de Chavon for our portraits and not a single response yet except that my meeting is with them on Friday morning at the resort. Thank goodness for all of the positive feedback, otherwise, there might be some ugly emails and possible yelling...LOL

Thanks Ev! Gorgeous profile pic! Make sure to take care of yourself during the madness. My fiancé is fighting some bug because of our chaotic schedule the past month and I'm feeling a bit run down too. Luckily we have a few days to get better before the big day.

This weekend is my schools prom which I coordinate and host, next weekend is my bridal shower, the following weekend in my bachelorette, and two days after I return from my bachelorette we leave for DR followed by an AHR two weeks later. Somewhere in between there I have to squeeze in two more dress fittings and work lol. My head is spinning.

It's comforting to hear all the positive experiences being had by the brides in this forum. Thanks everyone for your help and support.

Good luck to the upcoming brides! That's you Rotha!!!!

Wow! You are going to be one busy lady!!! I am excited to hear everything is coming together for you. Post pictures when you get back.

I worked with Yessica (and Massiel) on site and they handled things very well when it came down to it. I know the communication process beforehand can be frustrating, but they were very accomodating when we got there.

Thank you so much MissyBee... definitely very reassuring! I understand they are busy but I think 4 days without a response is very frustrating!!!! I hoping to hear from her/them today.

Also, does anyone have an email address for the DJ company, Abentos? The email address that is on their information sheet is not valid.

xo,

Darlene

Venting is what we're here for. We are each others support lol because sometimes even our family/ bridal party can be the root of issues lol. I know what you mean about weather, I had a nightmare it poured on our wedding. I would cry- like a baby. I would recommend solidifying a backup location in the event of inclement weather. There is another wedding the same day as mine and we already had one issue with locations so when I had to go with the beach for the reception I made sure to indicate that I wanted a backup location in the event of rain. I requested it in writing so if the weather is awful- I get first dibbs on my choice of indoor location.

You're taking pictures at altos de Chavon?!?! Good gracious that place is gorgeous!!!!! I wanted to get married there but it was too complicated to arrange. We considered staying in Casa De Campo resort but it was expensive- even more so than Paradisus Palma Real so we decided against it.

Those are going to be some amazing pictures- absolutely gorgeous. Feel better and hope your fiance feels better as well.

Yeah I agree. It is tough planning a wedding so far away and its horrible when we cant talk our WC right away. UGH...but we just have to take deep breaths, it will all work out.

To all the beautiful brides out there!

I just returned from my destination wedding at the Paradisus Palma Real! In an effort to put a unique touch on my wedding decor I searched high and low for the perfect, yet elegant statement piece that wouldn't break the bank but would beautify my wedding and express a subtle elegance that the basic resort decor just could not deliver! Low and behold I had these enchanting chair covers made.

Three reasons why these beauties are worth it:

1: They are so easy to pack and bring in my suit case. This means no extra shipping costs.

2: They took my wedding from basic to BEAUTIFUL! All my guests raved about them.

3: They are an affordable way to dress up your event in a unique way. All the extras that the resorts were offering were costly and nothing compared.

I was so pleased with how they turned out. If anyone is interested in purchasing these for your wedding message me and I can send you price quotes and colors! I am able to customize the colors to your specific color pallet and can work with you to find what you are looking for! I think the pictures speak for themselves.

Happy planning,
Tara
