My wedding is not until October 12, 2012 but I am a planner. I have been searching around for wording for many things as I like to do a lot of my projects. So I scoured the internet and want to share what I found so that other brides can save time. I will keep adding new items as my planning progresses. If anyone has any other wording that they would like to share, that would be appreciated!

Save the Date Inserts - Along with my save the date magnets, I included information about travel arrangements. I did not want it to be too lengthy.

Arrangements and accommodations should be made directly with TRAVEL AGENT NAME of TRAVEL COMPANY. In order to keep our group travel plans coordinated we encourage you to contact Nancy at your earliest convenience for  discounted pricing and availability.  A nominal deposit can be placed to hold your room. Prices include your room, all meals and airport transfers. We looking forward to sharing this special day with you!

Travel Information on our Website - For some reason, people have been confused when contacting my travel agent for pricing. A lot of people do not travel much and did not understand the prices were based on double occupancy and airfare was included (which would be very expensive as we are 10 months out!). So to help everyone I did some research and put the following on our wedding website.

    TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

Arrangements and accommodations should be made directly with TRAVEL AGENT NAME of TRAVEL COMPANY. In order to keep our group travel plans coordinated we encourage you to contact Nancy at your earliest convenience for discounted pricing and availability.

    TRAVEL AGENT NAME
    webstite
    Phone (XXX) XXX-XXX
    travel agent email address

    RESORT: AZUL SENSATORI

Make sure you reserve your room as soon as possible. You can reserve it for a low deposit of $50 per person (for land only). Balance due 45 days before departure. Contact Nancy Finn to coordinate the dates that best fit your needs. Prices include your room, all meals, all drinks, airport transfers and taxes. Sample rates below.

       Travel Dates: October 11th - 15th

1 person room (Luxury Jacuzzi Suite) $XXX
2 person room (Luxury Jacuzzi Suite) $XXX per person, total of $XXXX
3 person room (Luxury Jacuzzi Suite) $XXXper person, total of $XXXX
4 person room (Luxury Jacuzzi Oceanview Suite) $XXX per person, total of $XXXX

Insurance is an extra $XX per person

    AIR

There are many options for airfare.

    1. You can obtain airfare with your hotel reservation from TRAVEL AGENT NAME. You do not have to book the airfare right away, it can be added at a later time.

    2. You can obtain your own airfare on websites like orbitz.com, expedia.com, kayak.com, etc....

    3. You can obtain airfare directly from the airlines on their websites aa.com, united.com, etc... Or discount airlines like spiritairlines.com, jetblue.com, airtran.com, etc...

    4. You can use your credit card points to purchase airfare
Check out some credit cards with great travel points:
    CREDIT CARDS

Our favorite credit card is offering 50,000 bonus points: CHASE SAPPHIRE PREFFERED

Please note: airlines don’t start releasing cheaper seats until 3-5 months before departure date. Click on the following link for tips on how to find the lowest cost airfare: TIPS

    ALTERNATE RESORT

Please be advised that if you decide to stay at a different resort there is a Day Pass Fee:

October 11, 2012 - If you are planning on attending the rehersal, dinner rehersal and/or welcome reception you will have to pay $80 per person for a Day Pass, which covers food and activities for 8 hours.

October 12, 2012 - Our Wedding Day. We were able to get the Day Pass Fee waived.

We looking forward to sharing this special day with you!

Love the STD & the wording!  I have been stumbling around trying to get different programs written out before putting together the STD's, so this will be very helpful - thanks for sharing!

              ITINERARY

I am having the hotel provide an itinerary sheet to each guest as they check in. My fiance and I are ever so greatful for those who will be able to attend our wedding. I found the following Thank You paragraph that I added to the itinerary.

"TO OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS, THANK YOU. IT MEANS THE WORLD TO US TO HAVE YOU HERE. THANK YOU FOR BEING OUR SUPPORT SYSTEM. OUR ENCOURAGEMENT. OUR PARTNERS IN CRIME. FOR LOVING US THROUGH THE UPS AND DOWNS IN LIFE. FOR BEING OUR MENTORS, THEACHERS, AND GUIDES. FORVER GRATEFUL YOU ARE OUR FAVORITE PEOPLE IN THE WORLD AND WE LOVE YOU."

I have designed and ordered my invitations. I love vistaprint.com! My 100 invites cost less than $50. If you find the right coupon code for this website you can save soooo much money.

I did not want to have response cards. Most of my friends and family are technology savvy and if they are not, I know they know how to use a phone. I spoke to a lot of my friends who had gotten married and they said a lot of their RSVP cards were never returned. They ended up having to contact the guests who did not response. I figured, since I am going to have to do that anyways then why not start by having them RSVP by email, text or phone. Saves money on RSVP cards and postage.

                    Here is what I wrote:

We look forward to celebrating with you.

Please RSVP by August 12, 2012 via

I am ever so grateful to those who are joining us and did not want them to get us a present. I searched and searched and then combined some sentence I liked. This is the back of the invitation.
