Did anyone else have a small, small wedding?? I am only expecting 19, then us... mostly family. Still may get up to 23 thought...Turns out, we picked the busiest time for everyone... which kinda has me down a little that hardly anyone can come.  If anyone here had small weddings, what did yall do??   I can't imagine not having a reception :*(  but I can't imagine spending $3000 on 20 people- yikes! If anyone has any ideas or you think I should stll have a reception, although I think it would feel empty,  let me hear your thoughts!

Did anyone do catamaran cruises? I am thinking of doing one for the folks that come??

Yes I did ! We had 18 in total! I felt the number was perfect for a initimate ceremony and party! The atmosphere is the hotel is unbelievable I felt I have family and friends all around us congratulating us and cheering us on the entire night! I even had people come watch the ceremony and come up to us after and tell us how amazing it was for them :) we had the reception at the Poseidon and it was perfect! I was really upset since the pics I saw werent nice but I was so happy to have it there! We paid for the sit down dinner which was worth every penny ! The dinner and service was amazing ! Although I did wish we got the restaurant. for longer! I felt like it went so quickly ! We did do the cruise and it was the best tour I've ever been on we S&S the morning sail and snorkel 90 bucks and it sail us to margirtiville too! The entire trip was amazing hey even take professional pics on board! My fave was the bar that was included ! It's a must heading to jamaica ! Congrats!

Hello Ladies,

I've been asked a few times what I've thought of the food and if I took any pics, which I didn't BUT one of my good friends and guests from the wedding is a food blogger and she just completed her 3 part review of the Grand Palladium al la cartes and ricks cafe. I thought I would pass it along! :)

And if u don't mind giving me a range on how much pp the cruise was so I don't get screwed by transportation costs from the palladium ;)

DJ YES worth every penny!

It was Dream it was 90 person which included everything for the snorkling equipment  (we brought out own though) professional camera man (pics extra) bar (no food though) music (awesome) sail and trip to margairtiville plus transfers to and there. also they didnt charge us for my little one but charged iusd 75 for my 8 year old.

We though it was the best tour we've been on.

Rashel is amazing, im  so sad i didnt book her, i wouldnt  reccomend the spa to ANYONE.

DDespite how many people make it or not the people there make you feel like the most special person in the world! Your wedding will be amazing!

We are getting married at Grand Palladium on May 7th. I was wondering if any of you have had experience with the spa at the resort. I'm currently booked to have everyone's hair and make up done but have been hearing some bad reviews. If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it :) thanks

Hello everyone, iâ€m new here....

Iâ€m starting to wonder that am I the only guy thatâ€s planning their own wedding?lol

Well Iâ€m also getting married at the GPLH 6th August 2013, were having two ceremonies on the same day as Iâ€m Christian and my fiancée is Buddhist so you can imagine that itâ€s going to be a pricey wedding -_-

We are doing the Gazebo at 10am then the Atrium 4pm the same day and the reception is in Blue Lagoon.

I have found a photographer who seems amazing and they also do Videographer, after seeing the work Iâ€m very well impressed “Lexon Productions†and Iâ€ve been looking at  company who do decorations, centre pieces who are meant to be not too pricey ‘ Tai Floraâ€

We currently have 119 booked so far 60 from Canada and 59 from the UK as Iâ€m British and my other half is Canadian...

If you guys are having hard times getting replies I found it better to just phone them up and tell them what you want, my current contact is Erika who is the wedding manager.

Iâ€m still looking up a DJ as my family and my Mrs family love to party....

Has anyone used True Colors photography?  I am confused.  I thought that was who does the pictures through the resort already.  I have emailed them about the packages and the prices seem good but was told I also need to pay the $300 resort fee for them coming.  I would like more than the few pictures that come with the wedding package but affordable.

hum, that is confusing. I really thought True Colors is the resort's chosen photographers. I can't imagine you would pay the fee for them. Who told you that? otherwise, that defeats the purpose of using them.  I get married the day before you!?  How's your planning going??!! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
