We currently have an oceanview suite with concierge service, but I think we will upgrade to a private villa for the honeymoon portion of our trip.

I live in Largo very close to FedEx Stadium, but my parents live in Bowie. Born and raised in PG County! smile29.gif
I did pick SGOR in part because of the vast amount of included activities--both for us and our guests.

We are getting married at RIU Ocho Rios and staying there for a week with family and friends and then we plan on spending a second week for our honeymoon in the Negril area. We haven't decided for sure but are thinking of spending three nights at The Rockhouse or Catcha Falling Star and then 4 nights at Couples Swept Away. This isn't booked yet though because we're not sure if we want all the travel time...although we're not really sure how far it would be to go from one place to the next.

Rockhouse and Catcha falling star sound so amazing with your own little bungalow on the cliffs, but I'm afraid we'd get bored if we spend a whole week there. We kind of like to be entertained:-)

It really depends on what you are looking for. Couples Ocho Rios is the original AI resort in Jamaica so if you're into more modern facilities, you might not like this resort's charm and characters. The resort has only 200 some rooms and its private beach as well as the au natural island, so it is not as big or grand as Sandals. To some it might be too small to others it is more intimate. With that said, COR is voted as #1 most romantic resort in Ocho Rios by the travellers on TripAdvisor.com. Looks like both have a lot of water activities included. COR does have a few more excursions included such as Dunn's River Falls tour, horseback riding, Catamaran Cruise.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
