Yay! Congrats JayKay! It's so fun to see those people who's posts I look forward to reading, and the ones I've planned with for so long - be all married too! Glad you had a good day, can't wait to see more pictures!

Thanks for the thread. It is so helpful to see everything broken down. And I can't believe you came in that much under budget - that is awesome!

Thank you JayKay so much for posting this.

Our destination is similar (Jamaica) and our dates as well. So your timeline is most definitely helping, and so far I'm on track.

No more procrastination allowed. (I was procrastinating on the Save the Date, been wanting to send them before Christmas like November...but they were given at Christmas, mailed out in February, and emailed to the rest before the end of February).

Our family friend travel agent is now working on getting quotes. Should hear back in a week.

Now the word is out, and it's happening ! I'm hoping to pull it off with a similar budget to yours.

          Congrats to you both

Thank you!  Hope your wedding is everything you dreamed of.  And staying under budget was the best thing we could have ever done!  Good luck with your planning!

Thank you so much for this thread! I am definitely loving the bag idea and adding the logo onto it myself. That was very helpful. :-)

Congratulations Jaykay! Your planning thread is very helpful!!

My FI and I are from Ontario. We are getting in May and I'm a little concerned about the legal documentation. I doubt either of us still has our long form birth certificates. I asked the WC at our resort but I haven't heard back...is this mandatory or will the short version suffice?

I believe it is resort specific.  Some people that were getting married at the same resort as us were told short form was okay, we were told we needed the long form with our fathers names on it.  I didn't have one either, so we ordered ours online.  We thought it was better to have them then to get all the way there and find out we couldn't be legally married.
