    Hey guys,

So my fianc© and I are planning on staying an extra week after the wedding week for our honeymoon. Since the wedding is going to be at a family friendly resort (Dreams Riviera Cancun), we were thinking of switching resorts during the second week to an adults-only.  If we switch, I am wondering if we will still be qualified for honeymoon packages, or if we will only get discounted rates if we stay with the same resort.  Any ideas??

      Hola my fellow Albertian!

Im not sure if the new resorts will offer you a honey moon package but you can always contact them and ask!  A lot of couple move their second week to a new resort and the service of an adults only is usually top of the line! I love those resorts here in the Mayan Riviera... from the El Dorados to Secrets Maroma. They are simple a step above the rest.

Do they have an adults only resort in their chain?? Hopefully they'll be able to accomodate you.

Dreams is part of the amresorts family... which includes secrets resorts (which are adults only) maybe you could ask about switching to a secrets resort for the honeymoon and transferring the honeymoon package with you?

We are getting married in Dream Tulum in the first week so all our family can join us, and are then moving to Secret's Silversands for a bit of adults only luxury for the second week xx

We will be marrying at the Moon Palace and then switching to another resort from their chain but has a rep of being higher quality than the rest (Le Blanc) for the honeymoon.

We're getting marred at Moon Palace as well, but we'll be staying there for the honeymoon. It's a huge resort and most of our guests are in the Sunset side so I think we'll request to move to the Grand side (which I hear is quieter) so that we can get a little more privacy. We can also use the facilities at the other Palace resorts (not Le Blanc though) so we can always spend the day somewhere else if we really need to get away.

We got married at the Riu Palace Punta Cana and then went to Iberostar Grand Bavaro in Punta Cana - definitely switch resorts and leave the family behind :)
