@@DinaQtobe we definitely thought about going down to the states and seeing if we find something. We went shopping two weekends in a row but nothing. Banana Republic didn't have anything left at the stores at least and my fiance is so hard to shop for when it comes to suits haha, a combination of him being picky, not a big budget and the fact that he's small. The closest things we liked were a cotton suit jacket and pants from JCrew but that was coming at around $800 for both or a suit we saw at Hugo Boss, which was $1000   so no way. Also at Hugo Boss they don't let you choose the size of pants and jacket separately and for $1000 they had to basically take in his jacket from everywhere. It was too much of a risk for that much money. In the end we decided he will probably get summer dress pants and we'll match it up with a vest and a tie. Groomsmen will probably wear the same pants but suspenders rather than a vest and a tie or bow tie.

Where did you go in the states?

Oh my goodness this is harder than finding my dress!

I agree, suit shopping was much harder than dress shopping!

We went to Michigan, but Jos A. Bank is all over I think.  If you go to their website and put in the closest US city to you the stores should be listed.  My husband is also smaller (finding pants is hard for him - some stores don't carry 28-30 waist pants), and everything fit at Jos A no problem!

I went to tip top tailor a few times while shopping for his suit also and the pants rarely came down in price :(.

As of today, there are 87 days left before we fly. I just received word that my cheongsam has arrived in Hong Kong. So all my dresses are in place. I'm just waiting for decoration things from eBay and AliExpress.

I updated the list of things for my BMs and groomsmen to do today.

What kind of things are they doing?

Other than my one BM in town coming by to help with my dress or to come see items I need a second opinion in, I haven't needed anything. My one doctor colleague says it's because I am a control freak lol. Its true.

I'm asking my BMs to:

- gather all the songs from my list

- assemble an emergency bridal kit

- glue bookmarks together (for OOT bags)

- contact vendor and plan a night out at PDC

- plan and gather props for group games

- plan the door games

I'm asking the GM's to:

- assemble an emergency grooming kit

- gather ingredients for the tea ceremony

- help cut paper items for OOT bags

Great ideas! Maybe once I'm closer to actually putting together items (rather than just buying them) I will have a girls night :) thanks!

Was also thinking what we you have in the GM emergency grooming kit? For us I planned to buy a sewing kit and bring extra bobby pins, safety pins, scissors, etc. But I think I need to go back thru that thread on things people were glad they packed.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
