Good morning ladies! I absolutely LOVE looking at all the progress that each of you have made with all the wedding planning and details!

For those doing OOT bags, how are you getting each one to the intended recipients? Or will you be delivering it to the resort? I am considering delivering them to the resort and then handing them out at our welcome dinner

We will be bringing all the OOT stuff down with us and then I would like to deliver them to each room.  I have read other ppl say that this had a huge impact for the guests and really gave u a one on one time to thank them for coming and you can genuinely show your appreciation.  This is what we hope to do but well see.  The welcome dinner idea is our second choice!!! I think it would work great too

Ok, thanks for the info!

So far we got a first aid kit (since my FI lat name is Johnson we printed out HOGAN & JOHNSON in the same format as the Johnson & Johnson brand. Inside is pepto bismol. advil packs, immodium AD packs, band aids and vitamin C packs.

A personalized wedding CD with our Before we Met, Dating, Wedding songs.

Buying hand towels in bulk since that was one of the big complaints about the resort is that they dont have hand towels and run out of beach towels fairly quickly.

Playing cards, lotion (another complaint is they dont supply lotion.

Printing out Itineraries (we like to have schedules for everyone so they dont get bored and get some time with us) and placing them inside.

Thats all we have for now...still trying to build on it

Bride2012 sounds like you're ahead of the game with your OOT Bags...good job! Love the "Hogan and Johnson" idea...very cute!

Is anyone nervous about how much it is going to cost to bring everything down there? With everything I was thinking of bringing down (decorations, OOT bags etc) I'm sure I would fill up 2 extra suitcases. Now I'm thinking of scaling back. What is everyone else doing in terms of getting your stuff to the destination?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
