February 2012 Brides!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

thanks for the support!

my dress only had to be shortened so that's not a big deal (or im hoping), the wedding band he said around 2 weeks (just dropped it off), and the brochures i got a good start on last night (thankfully). the only crappy part is that the maracas are in Mexico, as my cousin ordered them. I'm hoping something can be done through her. I know it's coming together but its just the sensation of not having the most important things already done you know?

make sure you have a list of all that you've done/planned it sure helps!!

don't panic too much yet hun... it will all come together!! the music and the brochures and luggage tags can get done in a day or two of working on them :) YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!! :)

and just remember.. in the end... the most important thing is that you guys will be married... i mean the dress.. the ring and the shoes are the top priorities.. but everything else after that is just little stuff! i know it doesn't seem that way now... but... it truly is!!

I am starting to get panicked a bit myself.. as i get married shortly after you.. and i keep thinking that i am forgetting something.. but it will all come together!! xoxo

23 days to the wedding, 21 days until we leave!

I have taken this week and some free time I had to unpack and RE PACK all the OOT and Decor items.  My inlaws will be taking one suitcase with all the OOT bags for the group they are travelling with (arrive a full day before us and didnt want them to be without Bubba's for two full days as we dont get in until the following evening).  To make it easy for them I packed every oot bag so they wouldn't have any assembly.  After opening that suitcase and then opening ours for the guests on our flight I decided it was a much cleaner and easier way to do it so I packed up all our guests OOTs as well!

I finished up all my "signs" yesterday for our hand fans, and "brush the sand from your feet" so I am nearly done!  It will feel good to be all packed and organized.  We are still working on our reception play list.  It is only about 2.5 hours and I am sure 20 mins of that will be eaten up by first dance speeches etc so it really isnt that much dancing time! I am having such a hard time narrowing it down!

Hope everyone else is getting their final details finished up and feeling good! My last dress appointment is on Tuesday I will pick it up and my mom will learn how to close all those buttons! Looking forward to it!

Hey ladies!

Just found this thread and thought I would join in!!  My wedding is on Feb. 22, 2012 at Dreams Puerto Aventuras!!

I'm starting to get extremely excited, but I'm also turning into a nutcase! I have SO much left to do and my FI is leaving on Sunday for work.. for 2.5 weeks! He is only person keeping me somewhat sane these days! lol!

I just had my 2nd dress fitting a couple days ago and the dress fits perfectly! But I am working out like a crazy person and now I am afraid if I keep working out.. the dress will be too big...  but I figure I'll just eat a lot of cupcakes or something if I need to..

I am also having some trouble finding a pair of shoes I like for my dress. The seamstress made the length so that I can wear 3.5 inch heels, but the shoes I found that I really like are 4.5 inches. I am wondering if the extra inch will be too much? Any thoughts?

If so, anyone have any shoe websites they can recommend? :)

I'm not sure how I missed this post for SO long, but I too am getting married in a few weeks! Feb. 18th at SGOR and I'm getting super excited, and nervous too! I read this forum several times a week and realize how behind I am. My OOT bags are ALMOST done- LOL, waiting for cups yet and have a couple small decorating things to finish up. My wedding band is arriving tomorrow...Am I the only bride who waited 3 weeks before the wedding to get her band? I still don't have a rehearsal dinner dress- waiting for the stores to get some Spring dresses out- that's the crappy part about getting married in Feb, huh? Everytime I think about it I start to feel overwhelmed with all the small things that need done that are adding up...Sigh. Anyway, I'm glad I found this post because I'm going to stalk it everyday and see if everyone is feeling the way I am and what you all are doing to handle the stress of "it" finally being here! Here's to the Feb. 2012 brides!!!!

It is hard to believe how quickly it came, MNtoMX is the day before me so she will be the first Feb bride as far as I know!

I feel pretty ready and am DEFINITELY ready for the vacation... I fell off the insanity workout train.  The plan was to start the program again in January after the holidays and well here I am January 24th and nothing.  I am so so mad at myself, I notice a huge difference in my body and was so pleased with what my "beach body" was going to look like before I quit!

I want to spend the next week doing it everyday but I am just so so busy right now that I don't know when to find the time.  I feel exhausted and so I want to sleep but then when I dont get up to workout I am mad at myself... catch 22 but I am sure I am not alone here!

Bride2012 your motivation with insanity has been such an inspiration but I just do not have your drive!!! I am so impressed with your amazing results!!!!

Looking forward to sharing pictures and seeing everyones big day! It feels like it came quickly but at the same time as if we have been waiting forever!!!

so excited for you guys!

I definetely know how you feel in regards to the workouts, i have been pretty busy/lazy myself. I've resorted to going to zumba once or twice a week.

i also heard cutting out all bread, pasta and wheat will help you lose tons quickly! just be careful when you start ingesting it again, you dont want to gain it all back.

i have my BD shoot this sunday, i'm pretty nervous!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
