February 2012 Brides!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

If you ship them to your Aunt you wont be charged duty.  Not sure if you were planning on her bringing them or her sending them to you but if she mails them to you she just declares it "gift" and there's no duty.

The other option is you have them shipped to the store (dollar tree closest to your aunt) and she picks them up.  I think this option is only $5 instead of shipping costs! That way you aren't paying to ship to you aunt and paying to ship to Canada too.

Just some suggestions!

I don't think it is dumb at all Robyn.  I actually wouldn't have even thought of it until I saw Phil mention it on the facebook page.  I think it is important to feed your photographer especially if you are having them all day/night.  Officiant is another story.  We are having Pastor York officiate for us.  I have heard (also thanks to FB) that he doesn't generally stay for dinner, usually has other weddings etc.  I think we will extend the invitation to him and see what he says and play it by ear for dinner that way.

I think I asked you before but forget the answer, who is your photographer?

Are you ladies serving your photographer/officiant/videographer etc. dinner and including them in your reception? I'm not sure what the standard is...?

Hey Robyn,

Just wanted to share with you my latest dollarama find! We had talked about them before, the sheppard hooks to hang the pomanders on as aisle markers.  Well my mom and I were out yesterday and dollarama had them, they are only 2.5 or 3 ft tall but they are PERFECT! They will fit in a suitcase and only $1.25 each and not super heavy but definitely durable enough.  I am so so excited and just wanted to share.  I did have to go to a couple dollaramas to get enough as some of them didn't have them anymore but I am thrilled! We bought 10 for just about $13

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
