Hi ladies! I was wondering if you were able to get a decent group rate for your guests?? I love this resort....but initial check on the website returned rates for around $500 per night per couple in Nov '10. Does that sound about right? Did you and your guests book through a TA or the resort?

Thank you!

I think you will get much cheaper rates through a travel agent than booking through the resort directly. There are several travel agents on this site who can help you including Tammy who hosts this forum and also got married there. If you click the banner at the top of the screen, you can send a request to one of the travel agents on this site.

Our guests paid about $2200/per person for one week with flight included, so I think that rate seems pretty normal. Definitely contact a TA they will be able to give you a more accurate rate and will know all the good deals.

  • 2 months later...

Hey ladies. So I was worried that because of the number of people we have booked we would have to have a buffet dinner instead of plated dinner service. I emailed Yarai to ask about it and she just got back to me and said we could do plated service no problem. I am very happy about that.

Question for you ladies. What are you doing for videography? We have the package which includes videography and photography. Because we are brining our own photographer, we were able to switch the photography for extra videography so we now have 2 hours of videography. Is it worth it to buy extra videography on top of that? What are the things you most want video of? I know I definitiely want a video of the ceremony and was going to see if I could use the rest of the time to maybe capture some of the reception like first dance, etc. Would appreciate any thoughts on this. Thanks.

So our wedding is exactly 6 months from today. Is anyone else's coming up soon? I get super excited every time I see a new Dreams Los Cabos wedding review.

I loved my wedding video done by Mango/Jerome Deiu! It is like my favorite thing. I went into it like I dont care about video but since it is free i'll keep it.

I loved it so much I wish I had more taped than just the ceremony.

Like esp the speeches.

I was meh about wedding videos - we didn't want to spend the money on it and I'm glad we didn't, to be honest. We have some small videos from people's cameras and they are fine, and DH won't watch them anyway because he doesn't want to ruin the good memories he has of the day. He said he remembers it as being perfect in his head so he doesn't want to watch a video and see things that weren't perfect. I have watched our short little videos once and that's it. I'd rather look at pictures. So it's really a personal decision!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
