Hi Ladies!

 

I hope you don't mind but I wanted to start a new DPB threat for 2012 brides. The DPB thread is getting super long and it's slightly difficult to find things in.

So my finacee and I were booked at Excellence Punta Cana and thought were were set on the planning until we received a tiny surprise the other week: we're pregnant!!! We are both super excited and looking forward to the enw addition to our family however as Excellence is adults only we needed to find a spot that would allow us to bring our little one. DPB seems perfect!

Just sent in our deposit yesterday for May 18, 2012! We are so excited!  I still have a lot of questions to figure out and a lot of decisions to be made but luckily there is plenty of time.

What are the rest of you doing for weddings? When are you getting married?

Hi Sarah.

 

Congats on your upcoming wedding AND the little one that is on its way!!!

I am also getting married at Dreams Palm Beach next year. April 26 2012 is the date I put my deposit in for. I am still waiting for them to actually charge my credit card though so they can give me firm confirmation. It can be quite nerve racking.

 

I actually just visited the resort. I was there the 2nd week of April. I started a thread yesterday too called Dreams Palm Beach Brides 2012. Looks like you and I are on the same wavelength. You should check it out. I just wrote a quick little review of the place and posted some pics of a gorgeous beach wedding set up.

 

How big of a wedding are you planning for? Where are you flying out of?

 

Right now I am trying to figure out the all inclusive package pricing and when I should reserve the flight. We are expecting anywhere from 30 to 50 people. Sooo, I have a new stress now - when to book so that the resort/flight doesnt sell out as April is a super busy month.

We are definitely on the smae wave length! So let's stop this one and I'll join up on your thread.

Don't be stressed! It'll all work out. Have you booked your block of rooms yet? My travel agent is supposed to be finalizing that today and then I'll be a ble to relax a bit more. I'm flying out of Washington DC with my fiancee but our guests are flying in from all over the US. So we just arranged the hotel block with group pricing and then everyone is going to make their flight arrangments seperatly.

I'm thinking we'll have around 40 people.

Ok I'm going to sign in on your thread now!

Hi Ladies!

Great idea with the new post and congratulations Sarah!  We have our wedding booked for April 4th, 2012.  I'll definitely subscribe to this thread to see if there is any updates.

Here might be one - My wedding / travel agent just told me this week that they are building a new gazebo for beach ceremonies.  There aren't any pictures yet, but once I get them, I will pass them along!

Hi there! 

Wow, April seems to be a popular month for destination weddings!  Finally managed to book our wedding at Dreams Palm Beach for April 18th!  I have approx 50 guests celebrating with us and am very excited but nervous!  I have yet to have any conversations with the wedding co-ordinator and only hope that they can accomodate my wishes.  What if I can't have the reception site or wedding location I want?? Who will I book for a DJ,Photographer etc.  All these questions and I plan all this when I get there??? I thought this was suppose to be a less stressful way of getting married ...lol.  Any advice from brides who have been married there would be greatly appreciated.

Hi ladies! Wow, I'm getting married there on April 16th 2012, popular month indeed :) 

My fiancee & I live in Punta Cana and have been to the resort a few times, we're planning to go and check everything out for our wedding again next month, let me know if there are any recommendations you need!       Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
