SXCT I am on week2 of Phase 2 of Insanity! So Im a whole week behind you.  I ordered "The Asylum" to do right after I finish the Insanity and have Pre-ordered P90X2 (the new version of P90x coming out in December) to start right after the Asylum.  I know P90X doesnt good cardio, hopefully they cnanged it in the newer version, but if not I will do an Asylum/Insanity Phase2/ P90x2 hybrid.  All these workouts will lead me right up until my wedding date! I probably need to start taking progress pictures....i need to chronicle the physical changes so I can see where I came from and visualize where Im going.

Awesome!!  Good for you.  Looks like you are set with your workouts for a while.  I'm thinking about Asylum but maybe for next year or something.  I took before pics and I'll take some right after I finish and then again right before the wedding.  I can see and feel slight differences but I have no idea how I would look in a bathing suit in 6 weeks compared to how I looked when I started.  I hope its noticeable to others.  =)

I'M ON MY LAST WEEK!!!  I'm so glad I was able to stick it out and complete it.  Feels so good.  I love Insanity but I can't wait to get back to what I want to do and what I've been missing.  For the 4 weeks leading up to the wedding I am planning on doing a combination of Insanity, cycle, hot yoga, hiking, running, rollerblading and weight training.  I've missed doing all that stuff so I can't wait to get back to it.  I'll also be cleaning up my diet for those last 4 weeks so I know I'll see some more changes.

But I'm ready to go run around in a bikini right now anyways!!  :P

CON-GRATS!!! I think you're one of the few who truly made it through. woot.gif

no matter what happens during the last 4 weeks, you should be able to keep the weight off no problem. it took a few months of me doing nothing before it started to creep back. now that it has finally cooled off, I'm trying Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shread. SUPER easy comparatively, but it's something. if you have Time Warner, the first two workouts (of three) are on On Demand.

yaaaaaayyyyy for you! it must feel amazing. : )

WOOHOO!!!  I AM DONE!!!!  woot.gif

Thanks Kelly!!

Did my last day on Friday.  I still have one more Fit Test to do but I really don't even care.  Since FI is starting with month 1 right now I actually did Pure Cardio on Sunday.  Kind of miss that one LOL.  I plan on doing Pure Cardio, Max Cardio Conditioning, Cardio Abs and maybe another one throughout the weeks mixed in with weight training, cycle and hot yoga.  Really hope I continue to see progress....especially with cleaning up my diet more.

How is everyone else doing?  Haven't heard from any of you.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hey ladies!

I found this thread last night and after reading it I decided to order the DVDs!   Just ordered them a couple hours ago so hopefully they are here next week! I'm loser excited over it already, but I am sure that will change after the first workout! lol!

My FI wants to join me as well, though I doubt he will stick with it since he has a very active job as is, and doesn't really need it. Plus you know how it goes, he will find something good on tv to watch when its workout time.. hahaha

My wedding is in Feb, and I'm just looking to tone so I might do a 5 day on, 2 day off cycle. What do you think??

Thanks for inspiring me ladies! I'll be using this thread as my support group, so you'll be hearing from me!!

it's good that you're excited!! and you might be tired after the first week or so, but you'll have so much energy when you wake up in the morning, you'll be amazed.

I don't know that anyone has done 5 days on, 2 days off, but I imagine your results would still be really good, especially if you're doing the meal plan (or just eating really well). I've said it before, but within the first two weeks, there was a HUGE difference. everything after that was refinement and strength, so don't be surprised if it happens fast.

I want to do it again, but I don't want to burn myself out before next May. it was soooo great when my clothes were fitting loose. : ) I miss that!

Well one of my amazing fellow BDW brides pointed me to this thread after I mentioned that FI and I just started this workout! I haven't had a chance to read through all the posts yet but I am so excited to find fellow insanity brides!!!

I had heard about it a few times and sxcT's dress pics on the show us your dress thread really inspired me to get going on it!!! I told FI and he said "its a gimick" and wasn't so interested.  I insisted I wanted to and he decided he would try.  I never realized I was as out of shape as I am until I almost DIED during the first fit test! LOL

I missed 1 day this week because our computer crashed (and we had downloaded it) but have been back at it every other day (we started on sundays so are taking saturdays off because we are both busy saturdays).  I am already noticing I am a bit better at doing everything but I still suck!!!! I curse Shawn T every morning but love him when it is done!!!!!

I am excited to read through this thread and keep up with all the other brides doing insanity.  Had my first fitting tonight and would love if I was able to loose 2 dress sizes before my next one!!!!!!

oh no, there's no gimmick. you work your a$$ off. literally. ; ) like you, I almost died during the first fit test. I seriously thought I was going to pass out. just wait until you retest in after week 2 - it will be a completely different story!!

I wouldn't worry about missing a day here or there. as long as you just stick with it, you won't believe the results. I started at about 5' 4" 120 lbs and lost an inch in most places (waist, hips, thighs). it definitely hurts so good, but the results are soooooo worth it! : ) keep us posted with your progress - best of luck shredding! ; )

ps - when's your next fitting?

I finished Insanity last week, I decided to take a rest week since I am starting the Asylum and didnt want to do them back to back.  MY results were AMAZING, but you DO work your butt off, blood sweat and tears.  60 days at 4am in the morning before work, but if you put the work in you get results! I have my after picture in my swimsuit, a little leary about posting them on the site, PM me if you would like to see my end result.

My post Insanity picture will be my Pre Asylum picture, 30 more days of sweating it out with Shaun T!!! I cant wait!! I start on Monday :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
