so i know this is a difficult question b/c we all live in different parts of the country, but what is a good price for BD pics? what do they include (hair/makeup)?

i've gotten 3 quotes so far, all between $300-600, and have looked at other places that charge up to $1500/session!

i'd really like to do these, but don't want to spend TOO much....

thanks!!!

Good morning Lauren!

Here is one quote I was given by a local photographer:

Sessions are $400 ($350 with a wedding booking) and include $50 print

credit. With a pillow book, the session is $700 (or $650 with a

wedding booking.) Make up is included, as is a bit of hairstyling.

I am going to meet her and see the 'pillowbook' she is talking about, where the pictures are taken, etc.

Oh and she added this too:

The pillow book is like a coffee table book. It's 5x5, hardcover with

a custom designed cover, dustjacket (with the same picture as the

cover), and a little black slipbox with your name on it (or a little

phrase.) The books are usually 20 - 30 pages long, depending on the

design. It takes 4-6 weeks to publish the book, so all in all, about 8

weeks after you give me your selections. A disc of images is not

included with the session, but can be purchased for $400.

I don't know if it is too much or not. She is an excellent photographer from what I see in on her website.

I really lucked out and found a girl ( same one who did our engagement photos) who is new to BD pictures so she needs to build her portfolio. She is charging me $50 for the session and her prices are very good for reprints. I am not sure what we would do about a photobook of them. I will contact her.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
