It is probably one of those things that should be determined on a case by case basis. For example, if it is your 80 year old grandmother that can't come, but still wants to somehow be included and would maybe keep it as a keepsake, I would still send her one. If it is a friend that has already made it clear that she can't come, then maybe don't bother. Just a thought.

I sent an invite to everyone who was invited to the wedding regardless of whether they were coming or not. I didn't want anyone to feel left out and what if for some reason they changed their mind. I also had a meet and greet bar-b-q that everyone who was invited to the wedding was included in. I gave out my oot bags at this event, and so no one would feel left out I gave every person coming to the wedding a oot bag, and for those not attending I gave one oot bag per family/couple. I know those who didn't come were grateful that they were not forgotten. Oh yeah I also mentioned in my oot bag letter that my friends and family who couldn't come with us would be missed.

I think I will do the same. I really like the idea of giving an oot bag even to the couple/family who we're unable to assist the wedding. Thanks for the information smile03.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
