Thanks.  Thats what I said.  THe local Sephora near my house said I can come in during the week since they aren't busy and they will work with me as much as possible to acheive the look I desire.

I also consulted an artist here at home and she offers 2 hour lessons for $100.  I am pondering this as well!

I haven't decided on it completely yet 'cause I still need to contact the salon/spa at my resort, but my MOH and I are going to head to a MAC counter and most likely buy the makeup there and having them show us just in case the artist at the resort doesnt achieve the look we want.  That and the fact I don't know what makeup they use and I need staying power!!  Especially for the TTD session!

That quote sounds very high to me as well. Candice quoted me the following:

Bride only- US$90 / Bride group rate- US$80
Bridesmaids/Mother of Bride - $70 each for one to four people
Bridesmaids/Mother of Bride - $65 each for over four people

Perhaps you should contact her or perhaps I too should get lessons and apply my make-up myself. I am most worried about being a big SHINY MESS, but got some good product recommendations from a make-up artist.

Well im getting married in Jamaica and I'm using the same makeup artist my sister used. Rashel Edwards from chasity artistry. We found chasity artistry on facebook. they do airbrushed makeup and oh my gosh the makeup is breathtaking.we also used her for hair which also looked good. it was 5 of us and she charge us $600 for everything hair and airbrushed makeup as well as her travel to us in ocho rios at the resort .actually 650 cuz she did a trial the day before as well as blow dried and straightened our hair on trial day so it was easier on the wedding day. Chasity artistry airbrush makeup is absolutely fantastic. I think it is really worth every penny plus the more people she does the more reasonable it sounds. I absolutely cant wait for her to do my wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
