Hi ladies,

I'm just in the midst of drafting a letter to go with my STD's and I'm kind of lost for words...

How much or little information is normal to include?

Any input would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Kelly :)

I don't have mine handy, but it basically said we hope you can join us, in order for you to make an informed decision please visit our website for all the details. Because of the nature of our DW our WC requires a final count by x date. Please call/email us with any questions. Those who rsvp on the website will receive a formal invite early next year.

It sounded really nice, I'm rushing here. I think there was more mushy we're in love kind of stuff in it, but that was the essence of it :o)

This is the wording that we used for our STD letter. We put it on DIY stationary that had a watermark of one of our engagement pictures. It said the file was too big to attach. I hope this helps.

We have begun an exciting journey. Some people are never lucky enough to find that special person who they are meant to spend their life with…their soul mate. We have been very lucky and invite you to join us as we celebrate the beginning of our new life together.

We have made our plans to marry on the anniversary of our first date, Saturday July 12th, 2008 in Jamaica at Riu Ocho Rios. Having our family and friends join us will make our day even more special. Time passes quickly, and we want to allow plenty of time for you to plan and make necessary arrangements. Specific travel and resort information can be found on our website at Brittney and Peter Wedding WebSite. The password is Jamaica.

We'll be sending a formal invitation later and understand an RSVP at this point would be tentative. However, due to the planning involved with a destination wedding, knowing the potential number of guests hoping to attend would be helpful. We want this to be an enjoyable trip for everyone. Please contact us via our website to let us know the likelihood of you joining us in Jamaica.

We realize that everyone will not be able to join us, so we are planning to have an informal reception in Atlanta after returning home from Jamaica. Details will be available at a later date.

Thank you for being part of our lives and for helping us to plan our special day!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
