Beaches ~ Turks & Caicos Roll Call!

Recommended Posts

Brandy thank you soo much for the amazing review! Your pictures were great! We all really appreciate you starting this thread, it has helped me a ton! I have a few questions. 1. Do you think the 2 hour reception was long enough for you? I am debating on doing the 2 or 3 hour. 2. How did you communicate with your guest while you were at the resort? I have heard of doing 2 way radio? Or Cell phone pre-paid Sim cards?? 3. How far of a walk was it to get to TI right after your ceremony for you and your guest? I would LOVE to do that, I am also doing TI 2 days after the wedding:)

I thought the 2 hour reception was plenty, we left there and went to turtles lounge and danced all night long, they had a DJ and they were playing great music there, everything danced and drank and had a great time longer after the 2 hour reception was done.

Communication with guests, this one is a little hard, if you can get 2 way radios thats a great option, I looked into it and couldnt find any that were cheap enough, we usually just called around the rooms and in the morning to see what everyone had planned for the day and we would all meet up or bump into each other, it worked out pretty good, you can always find someone and that someone will know where someone else is lol so it all worked out.

The walk down the beach to TI wasnt long at all!! You walk to the end of the resort and Ileana was there waiting for us very easy to access no issues at all, theres no kind of fence or barrier between the 2 resorts just a security guard sitting in between the two resorts.

Im very happy to help out, any more questions ask away!!!!

Does anybody have any details about the Beautiful Beginings theme? That package I believe is for free if you stay 6 nights or longer. I believe it includes a 30 min reception but what excatly goes on within that time period? i will most likely be having the dinner at one one the restaurants to save some money. Also, what's the deal with the music (for both ceremony and reception) is that automatically included? I'm just trying to figure out what is extra as for we are trying to keep it as affordable as possible.

Oh, does anyone know the cheapest month(s) to go?

All your posts are very helpful~thank you!

Brandy these TI pictures are amazing! You look amazing! I am so glad that I decided to go with TI too!

I am still debating on the ceramony & reception music. I have a very "fun" crowd and they will want to be up and dancing. Does the calypso band get people up or should I go with a dj? Also, for the actual ceremony I was thinking of the steel drums or an instument (guitar)? Did you do either of these? If so is there certain songs you would suggest?

This forum has been so helpful & so have you!! Thank you SOOOO much!

Kim

Thanks Kim!!!

Our crowd really enjoyed the calypso band, I wouldnt say they try getting people out there, they just play, and they take requests, I dont know too much about the DJ but that probably is better dance music than the calpyso band, we went out to turtles bar afterwards which is where they had a DJ and they played great music, but they dont really say anything to get people hyped up or anything, they just play the music.

This was a special they had back in January and Monica send me the details.  You should ask her, she might be able to get it for you or let you know if they have any other specials.

Hope this helps :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
