Hi Girls, We had both the calypso band and the DJ and I can honestly say don't spend your money on the DJ. The calypso band was awesome, the music is caribbean/reggae style and it just fits much nicer being beside the ocean and listening to live music. Once you're done your reception, you can go to the turtle lounge and have the DJ play whatever you want. After that you can all go to the liquid disco and continue dancing there (the DJ at liquid is awesome). The DJ we had at our reception was playing Kanye West songs at dinner time (don't know what he was thinking LOL) but other than that he was okay. If I had to do everything again I would only hire the calypso band. I think Brandy had mentioned before she felt like it would have been too quiet without the band and I for sure don't want that. I am willing to hire one, I just dont know if I should do a DJ or the band, or just keep it with IPOD music.

Np, glad to help that's a good quote, I actually paid $350. You don't have to go anywhere, she'll come to your room. She just needs your room number and when she gets there, you or someone from your party goes and gets her from the lobby. She'll bring a style book which you can go thru and pick what you like if you don't have anything in mind already...She does a great job and listens too, if there is something you don't like she'll work with you to make you happy.

Thank you viclee1117, Our ceremony was at 1:00 pm and we took some pictures right after with the Beaches photographer and we met Ileana at 4:30 and were back at the resort by 6:45 and our reception was at 7:00 pm....I did the trash the dress that day since I had two dresses and I just changed to the other one when we got back before the reception.

Hi Michelle-2, Thank you so much!! You will absolutely LOVE your pictures. We left everything up to Ileana since she knows the island much better than us and she kept coming up with brilliant ideas but I'm sure if there is a place that you love to have your pictures at, she would gladly go for it. Unfortunately, we don't have any of the pictures that were taken by the beaches photographer yet! They're suppose to send them to us. Will put them up as soon I get them. To be honest there are not that different from other pictures that our friends and family took from us, maybe a couple of nice ones but the rest were average.

Hi Girls, We just got back last night.. Just wanted to let you know that everything was absolutely amazing. They do a FANTASTIC job… We had our ceremony on the beach and reception at the adult Jacuzzi area (breathtaking view specially at sunset)…. Our theme was chic and natural which we were very happy with, but not matter what you choose it’s going to be BEAUTIFUL. We had one hour cocktail and hor’derves with a calypso band (they were awesome) and 2 hour reception with the DJ, the food was hands down the best wedding food we’ve ever had….We had the resort’s photography package (not that impressed) but the best decision we’ve ever made was to go with Ileana from Tropical Imaging… It’s worth every penny… You will not regret spending the money. The staff are amazing, really helpful and great fun. The island and the resort is beautiful and as for the food and the restaurants, simply the best. Hi Girls, We’re all booked !!! finally J Here is the plan… We have 27 adults (including the 2 of us) and 3 kids traveling with us. We’re leaving May 1, 20011 and the wedding is on May 04, 2011. We get there on Sunday around noon and the plan is to meet everyone in our room to have a toast and give them the loot bags and off we go on a bar hopping tour. After the ceremony we have our half an hour complimentary reception to have a toast with everyone and take pictures and hangout for couple of hours.
