My Shoes

I actually have two pairs of shoes for the big day, a pair of white wedges from Nine West which I just realized I don't have a pic of and my shoes for the reception: a pair of ivory Martinez Valero shoes. I love them because I think the broach compliments my broach on my clutch. Plus I got them on sale at zappos.com and received them the next day after ordering! I love zappos shipping upgrades!!

Rehearsal Dinner shoes compliments of Zappos again! They are Badgley Mischka's I included the pic on the web cause they have tissue around the bows to protect them and didn't want to undo the tissue.

So not everything was buy buy buy. There were a few projects that I did DIY such as:

The paint brushes to be placed in little silver pails at the ceremony site.....in this pic the little tage that says "To Brush The Sand From Your Feet" is not attached. Paint brushes Michael's .79c

My programs (DIY program kit purchased from http://www.crane.com/home)

I've made two sets of petal cones. I have not decided which to use yet....perhaps you ladies can help me decide....shimmer paper I found at Pearl Art's store while browsing around it was in a bin with all sorts of other odds and ends. The doilie looking paper I found at Jo-Ann's fabrics.

At the wedding ceremony there will be sandal wood fans placed on every seat as well as the programs and the petal cones hanging on the back of the chair. Fans from the knot shop!

The pinwheels will be placed in these baskets which will be filled with sand and the pinwheels stuck in the sand. Baskets additional 50% off at Michael's each was marked down to $6.99 and I got the additional 50% off of that.

The pinwheels will be placed on the same table as the candy bar, so that while guests retrieve their pinwheel they can munch on some candy

M&M's was purchased from http://www.mymms.com/, purple twizzlers and purple gummy bears are from http://www.candywarehouse.com/ and jelly beans are from http://www.myjellybean.com/index.php not all of the candy is pictured. I am taking 46 lbs of candy!!!

candy jars were purchased from http://www.save-on-crafts.com/ I will be renting two brandy jars from the florist and I have two additional jars not pictured. I bought the cellophane bags from Michael's

I purchased our guest book from http://www.guestbookstore.com/ I can't remember which one of the November 2010 brides told me about this at the moment but thank you!!! The style is called Purple Parisien or something like that....it matches our colors perfectly. Sorry about the messy table!

These are the pails that the paint brushes will go into at the ceremony site. There will be ribbon around them.....I got the pails at Michaels...can't remember how much I think $1/each or maybe less.

My flowers are from http://www.angelsaccents.com/ the ivory bouquet is mine....(with my little blue starfish that I will be passing) and the other is the BM bouquet. She was such a pleasure to work with and they came smelling so gooooood. As you can see by the pics my little Yorkie Bailey thought so too. I didn't take a pic of the corsages and bouts.

I don't have a pic of my wedding band...it was just to hard to take. Its and eternity brand and the sides are engraved the same as FI's, they are also from Michael Beaudry of Beverly Hills. I will be sure to post a pic when Ileana takes a pic at our wedding but for now here is a pic of FI'a band....he is a Physical Therapist so he didn't want anything flashy just a platinum band with engraving to match mine.

Have a perfect wedding and a great trip!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
