Disazaja,

Glad you enjoyed the pics! At least that gives you an idea of the type of work they do. The pre-session comes as part of their most expensive photo package which is $2000. It also includes picture getting ready of both bride and groom, during the ceremony, and reception. My photographer was Malena and we totally loved her.

Centerpieces were more than I had planned for. I actually carried six vases from oklahoma to punta cana in hopes to make a similar arrangement. When I walked into the wedding department a table was set up with the exact arrangement, except in different colors. As soon as I saw, I wanted. They were $75 a piece. A bit expensive, but it was exactly what I wanted.

As far as souvenirs, my aunt had purchased some amber hearts and had some little cards made with our name and wedding date.  (I'm from DR and puerto plata, DR is known as the Amber Cost). We wanted something typical of the island :)

WTunner, Congrats! Your pictures look amazing! When you were set up for the beach reception did you have a dance floor, do you feel like one would have been needed? Was the DJ set up close and did you feel like 3 hours would be okay or would you recommend 4? I am planning on a beach reception, but a little worried because I have not heard much about it from others. What decorations and lightening were included and would you feel like extra should be purchased? Thanks so much! Enjoy the married life!

Just wrote a long review and deleted right before posting.... Ughhh

So here is the shorter version. Wedding was Nov 2nd at 5pm

Package: tangerine

Ceremony: rooftop deck (totally worth the extra $500)

Reception: bar higuey (perfect)

Susana... Best wedding coordinator in the world! Trust her, she totally knows what she is doing

Centerpieces: I paid ($75 a piece times 5 tables) people loved them and couldn't stop talking about the decor (which included the Tiffany chairs at an added cost of $5 per chair)

Food: I went with the buffet (it's based on a 40 person minimum). I only had 33, so I paid extra and there was a lot of food left over, but my guests loooved the food,

Pictures: I was terrified of using someone I didn't know, but tropical pics was amazing! Malena was our photographer and Santiago our videographer

Excursions: zip lining.... Way fun and guests loved!

DJ: we used the package with the MC and it was totally worth it.

Highly recommend upgrading to club premium... A few perks plus wifi included.

Hair/ makeup: it was included, but I used to be in beauty industry so I'm very picky about it (specially for my wedding) Lady at spa was very sweet and tried doing it, but I ended up finishing my hair and makeup which was totally ok with me. They don't have too much variety in colors, so if you have a specific look you want, bring your own makeup. I went to MAC, had my lady do my wedding makeup, then had her teach me to do it just the same.

Dinners: have your WC reserve a week ahead of time.... They book fast

Can't think of anything else of the top of my head, but if you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me at [email protected] or message me on our Facebook fan page.

Tons of pics on (over 200) on our fanpage at www.facebook.com/teamtunner . These are the professional ones by tropical pics

Happy planning!

My Goodness WTunner. Your pictures came out sooo beautiful!! Congratulations!! I am looking to have the exact same package as you and I am very happy to see what a great job Susana did for you. It makes me want to push my wedding up!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!

Congratulations Busybride!!!!!! Thank you so much for your review and your beautiful pictures. I am also having my ceremony on the beach. I love the huppa, did they choose the white sheets for you or did you tell them you wanted white? I'm glad to hear that there is a whole array of floral arrangements i can choose from. I'd thought of doing the bouquets myself using silk flowers and when i looked at my package and saw they were included and only $30 for an extra one for a bridesmaid, I couldn't be more happier. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing!!

Girls just a question...has any one realized that using a travel agent and book rooms separately from flights seems to be way more expensive than lets say booking a vacation package? (I'm a serial traveler so I find this a little inconvenient to tell my guests $800 for a room for 3 days when I've booked vacations to BBBP for less than that altogether)

Hi girls!

As 2012 is coming to a close I have to say that it was the BEST YEAR EVER (for me anyway) ! Thanks to BBPD and Susanna I got a fabulous wedding and vacation this year. This will be a year I will never forget and I think I can speak for all the 2012 brides that this was a good year for us. I want to send all my love and good luck wishes to the new year's brides. 2013 will be just as great and I sincerely wish you all a wonderful wedding and a happy marriage.

From the information I have been given it is like this- If you have any real flowers the hotel HAS to be in charge of those. They want your business and wont allow you to have whole arrangements made from another source. However if it is fake flowers or flowerless centerpieces they do not care if you bring those in and will help set them up for you. You could just double check through email though to be certain because sometimes I get different info then other brides on this forum about the same things and then have to dbl check and see the real allowances they make.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
