The resort wants $350/hour for the steel band. I think they sound fantastic! I've watched a bunch of youtube videos of various bands at some of the other hotels and it just gives you the feeling of Jamaica. It will  get pretty expensive if we have them from 3pm (for the ceremony) to 1030 when the restaurant closes...

is this thread just for jamaica bound brides of december 2011? is there a thread for all december 2011 brides? i would love to start one. i have been inspired by the april 2011 brides. they all seem to be so close and have been able to be there for one another and offer tons of advice.

I'm new too!  Getting married at Riu Vallarta in PV on 12/17/11!  sending the STD/invites out this week!  I can't wait for that to be over with, I did the DIY boarding passes, and they have taken over my life!

I guess the next step will be trying to find a dress...

I'm a December bride as well! December 2nd to be exact =) We are getting married at now jade in Mexico. Question...My TA has saved rooms and now i'm just waiting to see how many people will actually be making it, but other than that i have NOTHING else done! Am i behind or is this normal? I'm not even set on colors yet.:S to me honest i don't even know what to do first lol

Hello everybody.  I am booked for Beaches Negril December 3 2011 and soooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited!!!!  It has completely taken over my mind.....im supposed to be studying for an exam right now but instead i am typing on bestdestination wedding!!! lol

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
