    Hey ladies,

I am going tomorrow to get my very first legs and bikini wax. any words of advise? I have done my eye brows for years, but never my legs or bikini. I am doing it early, which I was told was a good idea. This way if there are any reactions I will know, and I will also know how long it takes for the redness to go away before I go again before I get married at the end of next month...

Really excited to get the hair gone, haha! growing it for the last 3 weeks sucks, but kinda scared. Would love to hear your thoughts.

    Thanks!

      Hi Loua4,

My esthetician has ALWAYS advised me to take two ibuprofen 30 minutes before coming in for a brazilian wax. To be truthful, it seems to work. One time I forgot to take the ibuprofen...and let's just say that I could tell.

That's great Loua4! That's really good that you decided to have a trial before doing it right before the wedding. I'm sure everything will be fine.

Thinking of trying this!  How long does the wax generally last for?

It really depends on how thick/course your hair is.  The first few times you get waxed generally lasts 3 weeks. The more often you get waxed the finer your hair grows in and the longer you can go between visits.
