Las Caletas 2011 Help!

I have soo many questions that I hope some of you brides out there can help with.  I am looking into getting married there December 2011.  The only time that all of our guests would be able to come is Christmas time.  We will be picking a day between Christmas and New Years.  Are there any brides that have gotten married around this time.  I am nervous at cost for my guests to travel at this time of year but I can't think of any other time that I would be able to get most to go and weather be good.

I love the idea of how private a wedding here will be.  Has anyone seen anything similar?  I am soo nervous to commit even though I love the looks of this place since I personally will not be able to do a site check myself.

Did most of you have your family there days before the wedding or more after the wedding?

Is the area where the party is held safe for children?  I will be having quite a few kids attending.

How is the food?  Quality of the food is pretty important to me.

Around how much did it cost to have someone come and do hair and make-up?

Any help I will appreciate! rolleyes.gif

Thanks!  I was looking for something the week between christmas and New Years, but January 1 2012 is not available :(

Are you concerned about the cost going around that time of year at all?  The weather will be great though!!  I have been to PV many times at this time of year.

This was the only time that I know my guests will be able to come.  I have two future SIL that are teachers and a college student as a bridesmaid so that didn't leave me too many options where friends and family would be willing to travel so far.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
