Paradisus Punta Cana (PPC) Brides POST HERE!!

Recommended Posts

Well ladies my time has come and I will leave to Punta Cana this Sunday 24, my date is June 29  I am so nervous and excited at the same time.  I have been working with Veronica in Miami for the rooms (she is a sweetheart) and with Jennifer at the Hotel.

I definitely could not get rid of the $1000 fee for the photographer and videographer so I have to hired Arrecife who actually gave me a pretty great deal on both.  I will post some pictures when we come back.

Just wanted to say probably I couldn't make it without any of all the great advices all you girls posted here, about cakes, music, international bar, venue location etc.

I am not any young and beautiful as all of you,  we are an old couple getting remarried for the second time (actually leaving together for about 9 years) and being in a relationship for more than 18 years, and we finally decided to do it.

He is the love of my life so I wanted this to be like my first and only wedding so I will wear white, and have a reception party and everything, like if I am a teenager... but I think you only get to live ONCE, so make it worth it.

So I will post pictures and comments when we come back, to help all of you who will be married next months.

Wish me luck!!! and thank you for all your good advise!!!

Ana

I haven't been there in June. My visit was in December but the beach is beautiful. There isn't anyone harassing you to sell u stuff. The sand is very fine and powdery. Most of the fun was happening at the beach instead of the pool. The water was beautiful, a bit of seaweed but nothing you couldn't look past-I mean, it's a beach and it's the ocean, right? There is a restaurant just steps away as well as bars. Also, if ur in a room that's far from the beach u can take the trolley right at the restaurant I mentioned. It's a great resort with a great beach!

I just got back from my wedding last Friday, I would imagine that the beach would be similar in June to July. It was great the water was an awesome temperature, the sand was not too hot, it was nice and breezy for the wedding. The only slight downside is the water has alot of seaweed in it but it isn't slimy gross seaweed. I was really afraid it was going to be too hot but it was really amazing.

Hi CDC150! Your pics are beautiful and I'm glad your wedding came out perfect! Thnx for sharing! I saw that you used photo souvenirs as your photographer and not arrecife. Did you have to pay the extra $1000 fee for using an outside photographer or how did you get around it. I would love to use HDC but I'm not sure I'm willing to pay an extra $1000 on top of everything else which I find this fee to be ridiculously high to begin with. Any help greatly appreciated! Thnx!

Cemone is also supposed to be my wedding coordinator.  I've been so busy with work lately I haven't even thought about planning and now my wedding is sneaking up on me...4 months to go!  Were you able to find anything out about Cemone or who the new wedding planner is?

Hi Mariel,

I booked my wedding in 2011 and therefore was grandfathered into the old policy where you only pay $120 for an outside photographer.

Unfortunately they seem to be pretty set on charging this fee for using someone outside Arriciffe.  People who have used them said their pictures came out well, but I know they are expensive.

I hope you booked last year so you can get around the fee!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
