I'm getting the Kobo from Chapters/Indigo. It's basically the Canadian version of the Kindle, but I believe it's available in the States as well now too!

It was on sale for $128 (CDN!). And I just sent hubby a few "ideas" for stocking stuffers...a leather case & a clip light!

I keep looking at that one myself!  You'll have to tell me how you like it.  May have to pick that one up!

I have a Kobo and it's great!  I love it for the gym especially -- it sits perfectly on the little ledge of the elliptical or treadmill and you can increase or decrease the font size, as required.

Not sure if this was mentioned already, but Room was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize: http://www.themanbookerprize.com/news/stories/1451

Can't wait to read it!  I have it now for my Kobo :)

Well I'm anti kindle. Haha. Both my inlaws have one. The reason I don't like it is b/c it doesn't support ePub format. So if you wanted to rent books from your local library or other sites online they will most likely be in ePub and you can't do that on the Kindle. It also ahs no expandable memory. No SD card. So you can only  hold what it handles. I love that I can put books on an SD card and have more.

I personally am thinking of the Nook b/c it does support ePub, it has Wi-fi, and it has expandable memory. Plus I love the way it looks. The keybaord is in the touch screen and hides. I hate how the kindle has a keyboard. When I hold my inlawas kindle I always accidently push buttons!!! Plus the nook has updates to fix kinks. Kinda like the iPhone. OHHH and the battery...if your kindle battery dies you have to pay ( I think 60 bucks) don't swear by that, to send it in. They don't send you the same kindle. They send you the same model but a different kindle! The nook has it so you can change the battery yourself! You can also get back covers with designs and personalize it! You can also personalize the screen on the nook!

Ok so I rambled, But i thought I'd just give my opinion. I do love my Sony e-reader too. It has done me well!!!

Love your 2 cents!  Thanks!!!  This is exactly what I look for when reviewing items to buy.  I'm assuming you can purchase the Nook here in Canada???

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
