hey guys, glad to have found this forum! my fiance and i are looking to get married in the south of France in aug 2011 and i have started planning the wedding but am struggling big time! ive contacted some wedding planners and they have all said they cant work with my budget (£8k) so it looks like im on my own :( ive spent hours on google but cant seem to get anywhere. any info/advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi and welcome to the board!!

 

Where in the south are you planning to have your wedding? I think there's plenty that you can do with that budget but what sort of wedding are you planning and how many guests? 

The only real trouble I see is that you have picked the absolute busiest time of the year for French tourism. The month of August is the most expensive month of the year (it's when all of the French take their holidays) and by default it's incredibly difficult to find accommodations and vendors etc... that aren't charging top Euro for their time. Have you already set the date in stone?

When they quoted me on pricing your budget would of fit in easily - especially since their packages include hair, make-up etc.

 

Have you looked into the legalities of it though?  I had my heart set on it, however, for it to be our legal wedding we would of needed to stay there for 55days.  So basically, unless you are going to stay there aroung the two month mark you need to do it legally elsewhere first.

 

Now, we are going to do a vagas wedding to make it legal, then renew our vows in Paris.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners.
