    Thanks everyone!

After seeing these responses, I feel much better about having *quality* not *quantity*! We've settled on our "essential people" list and, while hoping others can come, if not we will still have a great day (and week)!

Honestly, there were 15 of us in total at my Mexican wedding and it was a blast! You don't need a lot of people. I see some girls on here have over 40 attendees and I would not have been happy with that. Too many people to keep track of :)

This makes me feel better. We will have a small group. I'm sure you'll have a blast, OP. :)

We are also having a super small wedding...right now it's looking like less than 10 people including us. We have a few people on the fence, but even if they do decide to go, we're still probably only looking at 12 to 14 people at the very most. At first I worried about the same thing as you...but as I got further into my planning and saw more and more brides posting about their small weddings, it made me more comfortable about our choice and also made me realize that all that matters is that we're freaking getting married!!! woot!! I'm sure you'll have a fantabulous time no matter how many or few people attend :)

Very intimate sounds great to me! You only want your closest friends and family around you for your special day.

We're going to have about 10 or so guests. The whole big wedding at home with hundreds of people just didn't appeal to me. I agree with you in that if I haven't seen some one in years then they don't need to be at my wedding. Why should I fork out for people to have a great day when I don't give a toss about them?

At the end of the day it's what you make of it. Our family and friends are bananas so I know we'll have a good'n.x
