I agree with most of the posts, do what makes you feel the most comfortable. The honor of walking you down the isle is earned (in my opinion). Anyone can be a father, but it takes a life long effort to be a "dad". I wish you the very best!
Who is walking you down the aisle? Is it ok to choose no one?

Do what makes you comfortable. My dad will be walking me down the aisl, if he goes to my wedding...but if he doesnt make it for whatever reason, I will have my 3 year old walk me down the aisle. lol. I won't be doing the father daughter dance though. I'm not into all that...and it takes up too much time from our limited reception on the cruise...LOL

A good friend of mine walked herself down the aisle, but stopped along the way to take a few flowers from key people in her life sitting along the aisle. She held these flowers together & they were her bouquet. Honestly, I didn't even notice she walked by herself! I loved the idea!

If you really that like of walking alone down the aisle then go for it. It's really hard sometimes when our loved ones would love to escort us but it's our day anyway. Just enjoy yourself. I'm sure your dad will understand you.

It was nice reading some of the posts to see that others are in the same boat. My father has decided to disown me due to the color of my fiances skin....such old school Italian thinking. My parents didnt get divorced until I was 17 but my mother was both mother and father as we grew up and did everything for us. She will be walking me down the aisle.
Love the idea of having my fiance meet me half way. I have a long walk from the horse drawn carriage to the actual gazebo so I will have plenty of time to walk with my mom and then I can have my fiance meet me at the entrance of the gazebo. Thanks for the cute idea.
